Le Club leisure complex is exclusively located on the 2nd floor and has six separate treatment rooms for men and women. Treatments include a small selection of aromatherapy massage treatments which can be booked at the club reception. There are also separate male and female changing rooms with relaxation areas, sauna and steam rooms. The ladies' changing rooms connect to both swimming pools, the male changing rooms only connect to the Leisure Pool although they may use both. Freshly squeezed fruit juices are available from the reception area of Le Club.
Special Needs
Rooms & Bathrooms The Millennium Hotel Sharjah has three specially adapted Deluxe rooms all of which are located close to the lift. The bedrooms are of a good size with the main door opening to 79cms. There are no special features in the bedrooms, light switches, air conditioning controls, hanging rails, security door chains and view spy holes are at normal shoulder height. The bathrooms are equipped with a basin with free space below, low level bath with bath seat and fixed shower over and a long grab rail around the bath. There are three other grab rails in the main part of the bathroom and a telephone that can connect to the reception.
Restaurants & Catering All restaurants within the Millennium Hotel Sharjah are on two levels with two steps to the higher level buffet at Citrus or further seating areas. The tables and chairs at each outlet are free standing with no obvious fixed furniture to hinder mobility. Food is cooked to order and guests with food allergies or who are diabetics etc should notify staff who will recommend dishes or alternatives. Seasonally, low fat local organic Ostrich is also served.
Visual & Hearing Aids There is no permanent visual or hearing equipment installed at the hotel. Menus are printed well but should guests have difficulty in reading them, or the room and room service guide, they could be enlarged on a printer. Guests wishing to bring 'Assistance Dogs' should notify the hotel prior to arrival as, although accepted, not all staff would be familiar with the process.
Communal Areas All restaurants within the Millennium Hotel Sharjah are on two levels with two steps to the higher level buffet at Citrus or further seating areas. The tables and chairs at each outlet are free standing with no obvious fixed furniture to hinder mobility. The remaining public areas are easily accessible although the cloakroom facilities have heavy doors and would be extremely tight for wheelchairs. Le Club is located on the 2nd floor and has one step ‘up and over’ to each pool area.
Recreation Facilities Le Club is located on the 2nd floor and has one step ‘up and over’ to each pool area. The pools only have traditional step ladders. The remaining areas within the club poise no obvious problems although the internal floors are marble which could become slippery when wet. Staff are on hand to give assistance if required
Staff Assistance Staff although not fully trained to provide certain types of assistance are willing to help or guide wherever possible.
Cranley Comment
Generally, public areas have good accessibility to guests who are physically challenged. The hotel has a wheelchair if required and staff are on hand to provide as much assistance as they can. There are three specially adapted Deluxe Rooms located close to the lifts which have low level baths and grab rails. No other specialist equipment is available at the hotel. 'Assistance Dogs' are welcome.

Cranley Comment
Environmental impact issues are considered to be of high relevance to the Millennium Hotel Sharjah. The hotel has consistently managed to reduce energy consumption without any detrimental effect to guests by installing computerised timing systems for public areas and has increased the chillers efficiency. Kitchens have ultra violet cleaning exhausts and paper, glass and plastics are recycled wherever possible. The hotel has aerated water systems that help to reduce water consumption and is currently looking into introducing energy saving light bulbs throughout the hotel and implementing bio degradable laundry bags in all rooms in keeping with the suites.
