Qamardeen means crescent moon - a symbol of importance in the Arabic world. The hotel has maintained Arabic themes throughout, yet created a 'hip' style. Located in the Old Town, the hotel is a short distance from the Burj Dubai and is an easy walk to Dubai Mall (opening 2008) and various souks, all with excellent shopping. The Jumeirah Beach Park and Dubai International Airport are both 10 kilometres away. There are four room types - Standard Queen and Standard Twin, which have either Garden or Pool views and Executive and Deluxe Suites, which have additional dining and/or lounge space. All rooms are richly decorated with fittings and textures influenced by Arabian design. Qamardeen has a choice of eating establishments, with all day dining at Esca and the Lobby Lounge, which serves pastries and light snacks in a contemporary setting. The outside terrace offers al fresco dining and overlooks the Outdoor Pool. The hotel's Fitness Centre has a commanding position with views of the Old Town. The hotel has good facilities for business and small meetings, with a Business Centre, two Meeting Rooms and complimentary internet access throughout.

Qamardeen Hotel is located in the Old Town precinct of Downtown Burj Dubai, with easy access from Sheikh Zayed Road and Doha Road. The hotel is a short distance from the Burj Dubai commercial and residential complex and the five star dining and entertainment area of the Old Town Island and Burj Dubai Lake Park. Within a short walking distance are the Dubai Mall and various souks with shops and boutiques. The Dubai World Trade Centre is five kilometres away, whilst public beaches and Dubai International Airport are both ten kilometres, with an approximate driving time of twenty minutes in light traffic.

Layout Description
Guests approach via landscaped grounds to the hotel entrance on Level two. Qamardeen is U shaped, with the Concierge desk and Lobby Lounge to the immediate left of the entrance. Just beyond the Lobby Lounge, a corridor leads to the Business Centre and Meeting Rooms. To the right is the Reception desk, lifts to guest rooms and stairs down to Esca Restaurant on Level one. Esca overlooks the outside terrace and pool, which create an inner courtyard. Guest rooms are spread out on three wings overlooking the courtyard or the gardens. The Fitness Centre is situated on the top floor.

Guests will immediately get a feel for the 'hip' style of the hotel, from the striking colours and stylish design features that will greet them. These include shimmering red covered sofas and chairs and huge deep red coloured lamps. On entering the hotel, the Concierge Desk and Lobby Lounge are to the immediate left. The Dukkan Al Manzil Souk is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and has an impressive array of shops. The larger Souk Al Bahar and the Old Town shopping centre are just a 15 minute walk away. The Dubai Mall, which will be the largest in Dubai and is currently under construction, will be 10 minutes by taxi for hotel guests. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus service to the Gold and Diamond Market, Wafi City, Mall of the Emirates, Mercato Mall and Ibn Battuta Mall, which between them, provide a huge range of international stores and Arabic speciality shops.

Deluxe Suites are centrally positioned on Floors 3, 4 and 5. Each one has an entrance hall leading to the large lounge, which is furnished with a sofa, two armchairs and a large screen TV. To one side is the bedroom, which has a King size bed, large screen TV and access to the dressing room and bathroom. There is a screen which can separate the bedroom from the lounge. The Deluxe Suite on the third floor has the added advantage of a huge 17 metre wide by 8 metre deep terrace overlooking the pool, which is furnished with several wicker style tables and chairs, making it ideal for private parties.

Esca is located on Level one, with views over the gardens and pool area. Guests can appreciate the two huge chandeliers cascading 50 metres from the ceiling above, in the comfort of brown and white leather chairs. It has a large buffet for breakfast and lunch and an Italian style buffet for dinner. Guests can select their own pizza, browse the spaghetti corner, or choose from a wide range of meat dishes, salads and desserts. The a la carte menu offers a wide choice of modern cuisine. Esca has a palm tree lined terrace, allowing al fresco dining in fine weather.

Located on the second floor overlooking the lobby and reception area, the Lobby Lounge has some stylish design features. These include modern print carpets, shimmering red covered sofas and chairs and huge deep red coloured lamps. The seating is cleverly broken up into small groups by artistic use of drapes, pillars and glass partitions. It serves pastries and light international snacks in a contemporary setting. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 18:00 to 21:00, there are special Cheese and Wine Evenings.
