Nuran Al Majara Residences is one of the five towers that make up the Al Majara Residences located in a new development in the rapidly expanding Dubai Marina area. The towers are on three sides of a square, with the fourth side being open to give a clear view of the marina. Nuran Al Majara Residences is a ten storey building with 90 apartments, that range from Studio Executive to Three Bedroomed Premier. Nuran Al Majara Residences' location in the marina area gives it good access to the commercial centre of Jebel Ali as well as to Internet and Media cities. It is also well located for the shopping malls and golf courses. The complex has a swimming pool, a well equipped gym and steam rooms as part of the on-site Hayya! Health Club. There are meeting facilities available at Nuran Al Majara Residences and it has a coffee shop. Apartments are available for short term rental, but many of the residents will stay at Nuran Al Majara Residences for a month or much longer in some cases. Guests should be aware that there is some noise from the ongoing building work in the area.

Nuran Al Majara Residences forms one block of the five towers that comprise the Al Majara Residences. They are located within a private development that is part of the rapidly growing Dubai Marina area. Nuran Al Majara Residences is the block nearest to the marina, with all of its apartments having a view of the marina. Entrance into the complex is through a small private road, off the main road along which other apartments, hotels, shops, offices and restaurants are being built. When entering the private road, the ten storey Nuran Al Majara Residences block lies directly ahead, with the other four apartment blocks to the left and right of Nuran Al Majara Residences.

Layout Description
Entrance into the Al Majara Residences complex is through a small private road and the ten storey Nuran Al Majara Residences block lies directly ahead. Guests enter the Nuran Al Majara Residences and find the Reception Desk on their left, with the two lifts that serve all of the apartments immediately past the reception desk on the right. The shared health club and pool area is down one level, immediately adjacent to the marina, but still one level above the pedestrian walkway that adjoins the marina. All apartments at Nuran Al Majara Residences have a view of the marina, with those on the south side also overlooking the pool. The glass fronted gym is adjacent to the pool area and has an impressive view of the marina. The Nuran Al Majara Residences have a Costa Coffee shop on site, which is located at the lower level, adjoining the gym.

Entrance into the Nuran Al Majara Residences is through sliding glass doors. The lobby area is directly ahead, with the Guest Services reception desk on the left. The lobby area has a sofa and several chairs in it, with a number of potted plants around. To the right, opposite the reception desk are two separate small hallways, one leading to the Meeting Area and Reading Room, whilst the other leads to a lounge area for residents. Straight ahead of the lobby is a passage leading to the two lifts. The lobby area is tiled throughout, except immediately in front of the reception desk, which has a wooden floor.

The Nuran Al Majara Residences do not have any shops on site, but Guest Services will obtain groceries on guests' behalf when required. The Dubai Marina area is still under development and at present, the nearest shops, including a supermarket and pharmacy are five to ten minutes walk away.

The striking feature of Nuran Al Majara Residences is how modern the apartment block is, having opened in May 2006. A consistent approach to the apartments has been taken throughout the residences, with all of them equipped to the same standard with state of the art television, DVD and CD players, as well as kitchens containing everything that one would expect. The apartments are identically furnished and decorated in the gold, brown and white corporate colours of Nuran Al Majara Residences' parent company, Emaar Hospitality Group. There are several types of apartment from Studio Executive to Three Bedroomed Apartments and they are located throughout the block on nine of the ten floors. The top floor consists entirely of Penthouse Apartments.

The Studio Executive Apartments are located throughout the Residences. They are very modern and are of a good size. Entry to the apartment is through a fairly long tiled hallway, which leads to the lounge and bedroom area, where the king-size bed is located. Bed linen and soft furnishings reflect the corporate colours of Nuran Al Majara Residences, with shades of gold, brown and white being used throughout. All of the wooden furniture and doors throughout the apartment are black. Adjacent to the bed is a writing desk with a connection for a laptop computer. The lounge area features a modern LCD television plus DVD and CD player and has a two-seater sofa. Adjoining the lounge is a very well equipped open kitchen with the equipment as listed above. The bathroom is tiled throughout and has a marble topped modern white washbasin. There is a washer/dryer in a separate small room off the hall and a shoe cupboard situated just inside the entrance. Some of the apartments have balconies.

One Bedroom Apartments account for more than a third of the total apartments at Nuran Al Majara Residences and they are located on all floors except the ninth. They are approximately 25% bigger than the studios, with much of the additional space being in the lounge. Apartments open into a square hallway, with the bedroom ahead to one side and the kitchen and bathroom to the left and right opposite each other. Directly ahead is the good sized lounge, which has an armchair in addition to the sofa. The writing desk and Internet connection is situated in the bedroom. The small utility room containing the washer/dryer and ironing equipment is located opposite the bedroom, near to the apartment entrance and the shoe cupboard is just outside the kitchen. All equipment, furnishings and décor are as for the Studio Executive Apartment. Most of the apartments have balconies.

The Costa Coffee shop is located on Level P1, which is the Pool Level, one floor down from the lobby area. The coffee shop is adjacent to the outdoor pool and terraces and it adjoins the gym, which has its entrance from the coffee shop. Most of the seating is on a mezzanine level, which puts it at the same level as the pool terrace it overlooks. It is a standard Costa Coffee Shop, serving various coffees as well as tea and cold drinks. Snack food is available throughout the day in the form of pastries, cakes, a range of sandwiches including ciabatta, foccacia and panini which can be toasted, as well as salads and fruit salad. A takeaway service is available and delivery to apartments is available at a supplementary charge.

Meetings & Events
Nuran Al Majara Residences shares conference and meeting facilities with the other privately owned residences in the same block. The rooms can be hired through the Hayya! Health Club reception desk at P1 Level, near to the swimming pool.

Meeting Rooms A and B are identical and are available for receptions, meetings or theatre style presentations. They are both approximately 10 metres by 7.5 metres and have a small pantry/serving area at one end. The capacity of each meeting room for different types of events is Reception 60, Theatre Style 40, U-Shaped Meeting Layout 30. Both rooms have an OHP built into the ceiling and a screen. There is a computer point for Internet connection. Outside caterers can be arranged at a charge.

Small Theatre
There is a separate cinema-style small theatre, with three tiered rows totalling 21 seats, which is available for hire. It is fully equipped for film/DVD presentations.

Within the Nuran Al Majara Residences block itself, there is also a small meeting room adjacent to the lobby area, which will accommodate up to eight people and is available for hire.

Nuran Al Majara Residences is principally a residence with serviced apartments. It has its own small meeting facility for up to eight people and shares some larger facilities with other residences that make up the Al Majara complex. They are suitable for a variety of functions, including receptions for up to 60 people. The rooms are simply furnished with functional tables and chairs. The small theatre is used by Nuran Al Majara Residences for special events, such as hosting get togethers for long stay residents.

Description Jumeirah Beach Park is a public beach open from 8:00 to 23:00. Visitors must pay to enter the beach area and daily charges are around dhs 20 per vehicle or dhs 5 per person but are of course subject to change.

The Jumeirah Beach Park is a public beach with a small charge for entry of dhs 20 per car or dhs 5 per person. The beach park has a large beach with lifeguards, sun lounger and parasol hire, toilet facilities as well as a snack bar for cold drinks and fast food refreshments. There is a grassed area of the beach and an area planted with trees, where there are barbeques available for public use. There are also football goals and beach volleyball facilities on the beach. As well as the beach activities, there is also an adventure type playground to keep younger children entertained.

The Hayya! Health Club Pool is available to the guests of all residences that comprise the Al Majara complex. The outdoor pool is located immediately next to the Costa Coffee Shop and gym and there is a small children's pool alongside. There are six steps up to the pool and terrace area from the coffee shop. The pool is surrounded by a paved terrace, containing numerous moulded plastic sunbeds, with parasols. There are also some tables and chairs at one end of the pool, immediately outside the coffee shop. The terrace has a number of palm trees, plants and shrubs that give it a garden feel and it overlooks the marina, where it has impressive views of the luxury yachts. There are separate changing facilities for men and women and each changing area contains its own indoor jacuzzi and steam room.

The gym which forms part of the Hayya! Club, is located on level P1, which is one below lobby level. It has an entrance from the Costa Coffee shop inside the Nuran Al Majara Residences and with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, it overlooks both the pool terrace and the marina. It is a very large room and extremely spacious, with all of the very modern equipment well spread out. The floor is a golden brown polished wood, which adds to the already impressive appearance of the gym. The Hayya! Club at Nuran Al Majara Residences is one of several in Dubai and members have the opportunity of taking part in various classes and events. At Nuran Al Majara Residences, as well as the comprehensive gym facilities, there are separate steam rooms and jacuzzis for men and women that are part of the adjacent changing facilities. The Hayya! Club has its own reception area and separate entrance, for those members who may not be staying at Nuran Al Majara Residences.

Arabian Ranches Golf Course is a new Ian Baker-Finch/Nicklaus Design world-class desert course and is the region's first desert-style facility capable of hosting international tournaments. It opened in 2004 at the Arabian Ranches housing development in Dubailand, complete with a driving range and practice areas. It is the first true desert course in the city. With no water hazards to face, players tackle the elements and one enormous twisting bunker - the desert itself - on a sprawling course cultivated from the desert topography. The spectacular Desert Course is an unforgettable golfing experience.

  Emirates Golf Club
Description
This was the first grass course in the Gulf region when it opened in 1988. The club features two championship courses; the Majlis and the Wadi. The Majlis was the original course and was designed by Florida based designer Karl Litten. The Wadi opened in 1996. Despite a number of new courses, it still ranks as one of the best in Dubai. It has hosted the Dubai Desert Classic fifteen times and the last six years in succession. Next year the Wadi course is to go through a major re-design by Nick Faldo, availability should be checked with the Emirates club

Description
Covering more than 265 acres of landscaped turf, gardens and lakes, this spectacular golf course provides the player with undulating "links land" style fairways which challenge and intrigue all levels of player. Placement of the drive to the generous fairways remains the cornerstone of any good round. The flat landing area of each fairway can be challenging to find, but a rewarding adventure. With 14 lakes and 81 bunkers, The Montgomerie Dubai, the first and only example of the association between golfing great Colin Montgomerie and Desmond Muirhead, adds a distinctive variety to the golfing landscape of the region.

One of the signature holes is the par 5 fourth, dubbed the Snake hole for its saddleback fairway which doglegs towards the green, with 2 bunkers behind forming the eyes of the snake. Further on, the par 5 ninth, with water down the left, is a tough finish to the opening half. The par 3 thirteenth, a hole designed in the shape of the UAE, boasts a 360 degree teeing area around an island fairway and green, allowing for a completely different golf hole to be played every time. However, it is the par 5 eighteenth that offers a more classic test. At 656 yards it is a monster and, with water protecting the front of the green, it defies even the best player to hit the green in two.
