Al Manzil is the Arabic name for a traditional inn, a style adapted by the hotel, from its traditional exterior to the modern interpretation of Arabic themes throughout - the Al Manzil is a blend of old and new. Located in the Old Town, the hotel is a short distance from the Burj Dubai and is close to the Old Town Island, Dubai Mall and various souks all with excellent shopping. Dubai International Airport is twenty minutes by taxi. There are three room types - Standard King and Standard Twin with a choice of Old Town, Courtyard or Burj views and Junior Suites. The Al Manzil has a wide choice of restaurants from allday International dining at the Conservatory, the Sports Entertainment Grill and Bar Nezesaussi, the traditional Arabic Courtyard Restaurant and the all day Mokaroma Cafe. On the first floor level the Pool Cafe provides light snacks and beverages. Next to the Pool is the Fitness Centre. The hotel has excellent business facilities with complimentary internet access throughout, a Business Centre, three meeting rooms and a boardroom.

The Al Manzil Hotel is located in the fast expanding district of the Old Town precinct of Downtown Burj Dubai with easy access from Sheikh Zayed Road and Doha Road. The hotel is a short distance from the Burj Dubai and is easy walking distance to the dining and entertainment area of the Old Town Island and Burj Dubai Lake Park. It is close to Dubai Mall, various souks with small shops and boutiques. The Dubai World Trade Centre is five kilometres away, public beaches ten kilometres and Dubai International Airport ten kilometres with an approximate driving time of twenty minutes.

Layout Description
The Al Manzil is in the heart of a newly developed Old Town area of Dubai and is approached down wide tree lined avenues. The front entrance is dominated by an arch or 'Porte Cochere'. Inside the hotel is laid out around the Courtyard Restaurant with guest rooms and all hotel amenities on three sides in a 'U' shape. From the lobby guests can see the Conservatory Restaurant and Mokaroma Cafe, both overlook the Courtyard Restaurant. The Sports Grill and Bar, Nezesaussi is situated on the ground floor to the back of the hotel. Stairs from the lobby lead to a mezzanine level which has the Business Centre and Meeting Rooms, on the first floor guests will find the Fitness Centre and the Outdoor Pool and Pool Cafe which are situated towards the front of the property.

A huge Porte Cochere or covered archway dominates the entrance to the Al Manzil. On entering the hotel the reception desk, lifts and Conservatory Restaurant are to the right and on the left is a staircase leading to the mezzanine floor. Beside the stairs are a couple of steps to Mokaroma Cafe. The decor is modern with a mix of light coloured marble flooring and ornately carved wooden screens all in a mix of rustic colours with subdued lighting. The central part of the lobby comprises a comfortable lounge area with a variety of sofas, armchairs and coffee tables/chairs for guests to relax in. To the rear of the hotel is the entrance to the Courtyard Restaurant which leads to Nezesaussi and the shops of the Al Manzil Souk.

The Dukkan Al Manzil Souk is adjacent to the hotel and reached through the Courtyard Restaurant and has an impressive array of shops. The larger Souk Al Bahar is located just 150 metres from the front of the hotel and the Old Town shopping centre is just a few minutes walk away. The Dubai Mall, which will be the largest in Dubai, is currently under construction and will be just 5 minutes by taxi for hotel guests. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus service to the Gold and Diamond Market, Wafi City, Mall of the Emirates, Mercato Mall and Ibn Battuta Mall between them providing a huge range of international stores and Arabic speciality shops.

Junior Suites are located in corner positions at the end of the hotel overlooking the Burj Tower. Enter into a reception area with the bathroom to one side and a large wardrobe the other. They have deep maroon carpets throughout and are decorated in rich colours with decor, fittings and textures influenced by Arabic design. Junior Suites are equipped with complimentary high speed internet access and widescreen TV's which can be lowered allowing unspoilt views of the Burj. The bedroom area has a King size bed, a white leather sofa and two armchairs, coffee/tea making, large workstation and small balcony. The bathroom has tiled flooring and features an egg shaped deep bath, a double sink, separate power shower and wc (the wc comes with a window with Old Town views).

Nezesaussi is named after the three countries - New Zealand, South Africa and Australia. It is located on the ground floor to the rear of the hotel and can be reached via the Courtyard Restaurant or directly from the Al Manzil Souk. It is decorated in rugby memorabilia and has large screen TV's throughout showing major sports events. Nezesaussi is Al Manzil's sports entertainment grill and Bar and offers traditional meals from New Zealand, South Africa and Australia such as boerewors sausages and tender lamb steaks. Nezesaussi offers a range of traditional and specialist beers as well as a viewable wine cellar with an extensive wine list from both Australia and South Africa.

The Conservatory is the hotel's all day dining restaurant with al fresco dining available in the landscaped Courtyard. It is located next to the lobby and is decorated in Arabic style with mostly tiled flooring with arched columns soaring above guests. Large orange glowing lights are suspended from the ceiling above, and guests can enjoy comfortable seating with red and light brown soft furnishings. The Conservatory serves Mediterranean dishes with an Arabic twist throughout the day. A full international buffet breakfast plus freshly baked pastries and croissants are available during the morning. Lunch is Mediterranean cuisine plus Arabic Mezzeh and exotic deserts. Dinner is a choice of traditional buffet or a la carte menu with a speciality pasta corner too.

A trendy, modern coffee shop bathed in natural light as it faces the Courtyard Restaurant. It is situated to the left side of the lobby area on the ground floor of the hotel and has a wooden floor and a dark wood patterned feature adorning part of the ceiling and one wall. Seating is cafe style with a long bench along the length of the side which overlooks the lobby and reception area. Mokorama offers international snacks, cakes, pastries and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including speciality teas, coffees and juices/smoothies.

The Al Manzil is a business hotel and has little demand for dedicated children's facilities. The Outdoor Pool is suitable for children who must be supervised by an adult at all times. It has a constant depth of 1.33 metres and has a lifeguard on duty during opening hours. All the hotels restaurants and bars accept children although the Nezesaussi restricts children under 18 after 21:00 hours. Highchairs are available and children's dishes can be prepared on request but no dedicated children's menus are available.

The Al Manzil offers a peaceful and tranquil oasis from the hustle and bustle of Dubai. No formal entertainment is provided by the hotel however the Shisha pipes, which are available in the Courtyard from 18:00 to 00:00 daily, prove a very popular attraction.

The Jumeirah Beach Park is a public beach with a small charge for entry. The beach park has a large beach with lifeguards, sun lounger and parasol hire, toilet facilities and a snack bar for cold drinks and fast food refreshments. There is a grassed area and an area planted with trees, where barbeques are available for public use. There are football goals and beach volleyball facilities on the beach in addition to an adventure type playground to keep younger children entertained.

The Al Manzil Outdoor Pool is situated in a quiet area of the hotel reached via the 1st floor. It overlooks the city on one side and is overlooked by the hotel on the other three sides. The pool is rectangular and of regular depth and suitable for lane swimming. Set on a landscaped terrace area surrounded by a small garden and palm trees it has a changing room and shower facility, towel dispenser and a Pool Cafe which is open 07:00 to 19:00 daily and offers a wide range of drinks and snacks served from the hotels restaurants.

Located on the first floor, the Fitness Centre is carpeted throughout and has plenty of natural light from the windows overlooking the Old Town and Courtyard on two of its sides. It has full length mirrors on the other two walls. The Fitness Centre has a range of aerobic, cardiovascular and free weight equipment and features 4 plasma TV screens for entertainment. It is not supervised. The changing rooms and shower are shared with the Outdoor Pool.

Description
Covering more than 265 acres of landscaped turf, gardens and lakes, this spectacular golf course provides the player with undulating "links land" style fairways which challenge and intrigue all levels of player. Placement of the drive to the generous fairways remains the cornerstone of any good round. The flat landing area of each fairway can be challenging to find, but a rewarding adventure. With 14 lakes and 81 bunkers, The Montgomerie Dubai, the first and only example of the association between golfing great Colin Montgomerie and Desmond Muirhead, adds a distinctive variety to the golfing landscape of the region.

One of the signature holes is the par 5 fourth, dubbed the Snake hole for its saddleback fairway which doglegs towards the green, with 2 bunkers behind forming the eyes of the snake. Further on, the par 5 ninth, with water down the left, is a tough finish to the opening half. The par 3 thirteenth, a hole designed in the shape of the UAE, boasts a 360 degree teeing area around an island fairway and green, allowing for a completely different golf hole to be played every time. However, it is the par 5 eighteenth that offers a more classic test. At 656 yards it is a monster and, with water protecting the front of the green, it defies even the best player to hit the green in two.

Rooms & Bathrooms The Al Manzil has converted two guestrooms for ease of access for the physically challenged. Both rooms are inter-connecting with either Standard Single or Twin rooms. King beds are set lower for physically challenged guests. Each has a large open-plan bath area with tiled flooring and a separate adapted shower and wc with grab rails.
Restaurants & Catering The Conservatory and Nezasaussi Restaurant have wheelchair access. The Mokaroma Cafe has a couple of steps leading up to its main seating area however there is ample space in the lobby to be served as well.
Visual & Hearing Aids The Al Manzil will make staff available to assist guests with visual and hearing impairments given 24 hours notice.
Communal Areas The hotel entrance has good wheelchair access with ramps leading up to the wide entrance doors. Leading off the reception area are the guest lifts, the lower part of the Mokaroma Cafe and Conservatory both of which are easily accessible. The Courtyard Restaurant has a ramp leading down to one level only so parts of the Courtyard Restaurant do not offer easy access for disabled guests. The hotel lobby has a disabled toilet. Assistance dogs are welcomed. The underground parking has designated disabled spaces close to the wide lift entrance.
Recreation Facilities The Outdoor Pool is accessible with ramps leading from the hotel to the terrace surrounding the pool. There are steps and several ladders allowing access to the pool and a lifeguard on duty to provide assistance if required. The pool depth is 1.33 metres throughout.
Staff Assistance The hotel staff are available for assistance at all times. If specific help is required the hotel can provide this given 24 hours notice.

The Al Manzil is a new hotel, built in 2007, and has good access to all areas for physically challenged guests. Facilities and access within the hotel are excellent for the disabled, although there are no aids evident for the partially sighted and hard of hearing. .
