The Montgomerie, Dubai is a boutique hotel located close to the rapidly developing marina area of Dubai. The location gives guests easy access to other golf courses, shopping centres and the recently opened Ski Dubai. The Dubai World Trade Centre is fifteen kilometres away, public beaches five kilometres and Dubai International Airport twenty five kilometres. The Montgomerie, Dubai has a good range of rooms from generously sized Superior Rooms, the Junior and Montgomerie Suites with additional lounge space to the huge Executive Suite. All the rooms enjoy spectacular views of the golf course or Dubai Marina. With three international restaurants guests can explore the fusion flavours of Nineteen or relax in the casual atmosphere of Bunkers Spike Bar or catch the latest sports at The Academy restaurant. After dinner guests can unwind in Monty Cristo's Cigar Lounge. For leisure the hotel has an outdoor pool, gymnasium and the Angsana Spa which features a comprehensive menu of treatments and therapies. For business the hotel has high speed internet connections in all rooms and two meeting rooms with vast terrace space for business meetings and private events.

Location Description

The hotel is located close to the rapidly developing marina area of Dubai. The location gives guests easy access to other golf courses and various shopping centres - for example the nearby Mall of the Emirates and the recently opened Ski Dubai. For business travellers the hotel is next to the Media and Internet cities and provides good connections to the Jebel Ali Free Zone. The Dubai World Trade Centre is fifteen kilometres away, the nearest public beaches five kilometres and Dubai International Airport twenty five kilometres with an approximate driving time of twenty minutes.

Layout Description

The long drive into The Montgomerie complex takes visitors away from the high rise developments of Dubai Marina into a more peaceful world. Just in front of the entrance is a landscaped courtyard which is the parking area. You enter the hotel on the ground floor level which has the Golf Lobby, Nineteen Restaurant to the right and to the left Monty Cristo's Cigar Lounge, the Angsana Spa and the hotels meeting rooms. Follow the stairs or take the lift to the first floor level for the Hotel Lobby and all the guest rooms. The Golf Shop is located on the lower ground level as well as the Golf Club Changing Rooms, Gymnasium, Bunkers Restaurant and the Outdoor Pool.

The hotel lobby is situated on the first floor just up some stairs on the left of the main entrance. It has 2 reception desks to the immediate left and a concierge desk to the right. The lobby has marble flooring and a large rug in the centre with two huge four seater sofas facing each other over a glass topped coffee table. Newspapers and magazines are liberally spread around for guest's enjoyment. The dominant feature of the lobby is a 15 metre high window overlooking the golf course. The corridor each side of the lobby leads to the various guest rooms.

The Montgomerie has two golf shops on site. The shop on the lower ground level specialises in golf apparel and the second shop is located at The Academy and has a wide range of golf equipment.

The Montgomerie has two golf shops on site but for those guests who wish to partake of the excellent shopping Dubai has to offer the Mall of the Emirates is just 5km away, about 10 minutes by taxi. The Dubai Mall, which when completed will be the largest in Dubai, is about 25 minutes by taxi for hotel guests. Other shopping attractions such as the Gold and Diamond Market, Wafi City, Mercato Mall and Ibn Battuta Mall between them provide a huge range of international stores and Arabic speciality shops and are all no more than 30 minutes away by taxi.

The Montgomerie has a good range of rooms from generously sized Superior Rooms, the Junior and Montgomerie Suites with additional lounge space to the huge Executive Suite. The decor of the rooms personifies minimalist design and contemporary chic and in-room service includes a personalised butler and the latest in in-room technology with large screen televisions with CD and DVD capabilities, in-house movie and music library. All the rooms enjoy spectacular views of the golf course or the Courtyard and Dubai Marina.

From the reception area it is a short walk down spacious corridors to the Superior guest rooms. The luxuriously decorated rooms have deep brown carpets, brightly coloured fabrics, dark red lamps and black stained wood panelling throughout. The bedroom has a large King Bed (which can be divided into two king singles for twin occupancy), a desk with leather chair, a sofabed and armchair facing a large coffee table and views over the golf course, Courtyard or Dubai Marina. Some superior rooms have a generous balcony as well. The spacious bath area has marble floor and tiling, a double sink, large bathtub, separate shower and a wc with bidet.

The Junior Suite is located close to the hotel lobby, it has a large entrance hall just inside the door with a large Dressing Room to the right which has a minibar, coffee/tea making facility and large mirror. The Suites have luxurious decor with deep brown carpets, brightly coloured fabrics, dark red lamps and black stained wood panelling throughout. The bedroom has a large King Bed, a desk with leather chair, a sofabed and armchair facing a large coffee table and views over the Courtyard and Dubai Marina. Guests enter into a large entrance hall in front of an imposing lounge which is furnished with a circular dining table and six chairs, huge Bang and Olufson TV, a sofa with two armchairs and footstool surrounding a large coffee table and plenty of natural light with balconies providing excellent views of the golf course. The key feature of the Executive Suite is the huge 81 square metre lounge with a circular dining table and six chairs, huge Bang and Olufson TV and Beosound music system, a sofa with two armchairs and footstool surrounding a large coffee table. There is plenty of natural light with four balconies providing excellent views of the golf course. The bedroom is an adjoining room and has a large King Bed, a desk with leather chair, a sofabed and armchair facing a large coffee table and views over the Golf Course. The spacious ensuite and guest bathroom have marble floor throughout, a double sink, large bathtub, separate shower and a wc with bidet.

The Montgomerie has three international restaurants all offering indoor or al fresco dining. Guests can explore the fusion flavours of sophisticated Nineteen, relax in the casual atmosphere of Bunkers Spike Bar or enjoy the entertainment at The Academy sports restaurant. Nineteen and Bunkers are located in the main hotel building and have great views of the golf course. The Academy restaurant is situated about 500 metres from the main hotel building and has spectacular views over the floodlit Dubai Marina at night.

Nineteen at Montgomerie is the hotels signature Restaurant and is located on the ground floor level with a terrace overlooking the golf course. Dark wood-panelled walls, tables and chocolate brown marble floors are contrasted by white ceilings and an abundance of natural light. It is very much about sophisticated fusion cuisine and has a show kitchen as its centre-piece, allowing diners to witness the chefs putting the final touches to the dishes. Nineteen has a large outdoor terrace offering breathtaking views of the 18th hole during al fresco dining. In the lounge area, off to the right of the entrance, guests can order a variety of snacks off the Tapas menu while enjoying a cocktail.

Bunkers is The Montgomerie's all day restaurant and Spike Bar. It is accessible directly off the golf course as well as from the hotel. Inside it has a distinctive half-moon shaped bar with bar stools and is decorated in dark colours with plenty of black and chrome evident. With sweeping views of the golf course, Bunkers is just the spot to enjoy a quick informal meal. The food is a modern take on traditional pub fare complemented by a wide choice of beverages served from the bar. Bunkers offers Shisha pipes on the terrace in the evenings for guests enjoyment.
