The Montgomerie, Dubai is a boutique hotel located close to the rapidly developing marina area of Dubai. The location gives guests easy access to other golf courses, shopping centres and the recently opened Ski Dubai. The Dubai World Trade Centre is fifteen kilometres away, public beaches five kilometres and Dubai International Airport twenty five kilometres. The Montgomerie, Dubai has a good range of rooms from generously sized Superior Rooms, the Junior and Montgomerie Suites with additional lounge space to the huge Executive Suite. All the rooms enjoy spectacular views of the golf course or Dubai Marina. With three international restaurants guests can explore the fusion flavours of Nineteen or relax in the casual atmosphere of Bunkers Spike Bar or catch the latest sports at The Academy restaurant. After dinner guests can unwind in Monty Cristo's Cigar Lounge. For leisure the hotel has an outdoor pool, gymnasium and the Angsana Spa which features a comprehensive menu of treatments and therapies. The hotel is located close to the rapidly developing marina area of Dubai. The location gives guests easy access to other golf courses and various shopping centres - for example the nearby Mall of the Emirates and the recently opened Ski Dubai. For business travellers the hotel is next to the Media and Internet cities and provides good connections to the Jebel Ali Free Zone. The Dubai World Trade Centre is fifteen kilometres away, the nearest public beaches five kilometres and Dubai International Airport twenty five kilometres with an approximate driving time of twenty minutes.

Layout Description
The long drive into The Montgomerie complex takes visitors away from the high rise developments of Dubai Marina into a more peaceful world. Just in front of the entrance is a landscaped courtyard which is the parking area. You enter the hotel on the ground floor level which has the Golf Lobby, Nineteen Restaurant to the right and to the left Monty Cristo's Cigar Lounge, the Angsana Spa and the hotels meeting rooms. Follow the stairs or take the lift to the first floor level for the Hotel Lobby and all the guest rooms. The Golf Shop is located on the lower ground level as well as the Golf Club Changing Rooms, Gymnasium, Bunkers Restaurant and the Outdoor Pool.

The hotel lobby is situated on the first floor just up some stairs on the left of the main entrance. It has 2 reception desks to the immediate left and a concierge desk to the right. The lobby has marble flooring and a large rug in the centre with two huge four seater sofas facing each other over a glass topped coffee table. Newspapers and magazines are liberally spread around for guest's enjoyment. The dominant feature of the lobby is a 15 metre high window overlooking the golf course. The corridor each side of the lobby leads to the various guest rooms.

The Montgomerie has two golf shops on site. The shop on the lower ground level specialises in golf apparel and the second shop is located at The Academy and has a wide range of golf equipment.

The Montgomerie has two golf shops on site but for those guests who wish to partake of the excellent shopping Dubai has to offer the Mall of the Emirates is just 5km away, about 10 minutes by taxi. The Dubai Mall, which when completed will be the largest in Dubai, is about 25 minutes by taxi for hotel guests. Other shopping attractions such as the Gold and Diamond Market, Wafi City, Mercato Mall and Ibn Battuta Mall between them provide a huge range of international stores and Arabic speciality shops and are all no more than 30 minutes away by taxi.

From the reception area it is a short walk down spacious corridors to the Superior guest rooms. The luxuriously decorated rooms have deep brown carpets, brightly coloured fabrics, dark red lamps and black stained wood panelling throughout. The bedroom has a large King Bed (which can be divided into two king singles for twin occupancy), a desk with leather chair, a sofabed and armchair facing a large coffee table and views over the golf course, Courtyard or Dubai Marina. Nineteen at Montgomerie is the hotels signature Restaurant and is located on the ground floor level with a terrace overlooking the golf course. Dark wood-panelled walls, tables and chocolate brown marble floors are contrasted by white ceilings and an abundance of natural light. It is very much about sophisticated fusion cuisine and has a show kitchen as its centre-piece, allowing diners to witness the chefs putting the final touches to the dishes. Nineteen has a large outdoor terrace offering breathtaking views of the 18th hole during al fresco dining. In the lounge area, off to the right of the entrance, guests can order a variety of snacks off the Tapas menu while enjoying a cocktail.

Inside it has a distinctive half-moon shaped bar with bar stools and is decorated in dark colours with plenty of black and chrome evident. With sweeping views of the golf course, Bunkers is just the spot to enjoy a quick informal meal. The Montgomerie, Dubai has little organised activity for children. However, the Outdoor Pool does have a children's paddling pool, although children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Montgomerie, Dubia offers a peaceful and tranquil country club atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai. No formal entertainment is provided by the hotel. However, the Shisha pipes which are available in the Academy and Bunkers Restaurants prove a very popular attraction.

Description Jumeirah Beach Park is a public beach open from 8:00 to 23:00. Visitors must pay a small charge to enter the beach area and sun loungers and parasols are available for hire. Visitors to the Jumeirah Beach Park should note that one day per week is designated as 'Ladies Only' day and they should check before visiting which day it is.

The Jumeirah Beach Park is a public beach with a small charge for entry. The beach park has a large beach with lifeguards, sun lounger and parasol hire, toilet facilities and a snack bar for cold drinks and fast food refreshments. There is a grassed area and an area planted with trees, where barbeques are available for public use. There are football goals and beach volleyball facilities on the beach in addition to an adventure type playground to keep younger children entertained.

The Outdoor Pool is located on the lower ground level about 50 meters from the hotel and Bunkers Restaurant. There is a changing and shower facility in the hotel shared with the golf club and outside shower and wc. The pool is shaped like one segment of a circle with its two lengths being about 25 metres. It is set on a large terrace with palm trees inset and landscaped grounds surrounding it. With views of the hotel to one side and the 18th green of the golf course on the other it has a lovely open aspect. There is a small paddling pool for children measuring about 6 metres by 6 metres which has a water spray feature.

The Gymnasium is located on the Lower Ground, opposite the entrance to the Ladies and Mens Changing Rooms which it shares with the golf club. The changing rooms have shower, wc and ladies and mens steam rooms and plunge pools. The Gymnasium has a polished wood floor, floor to ceiling mirrors on three sides and windows with views over the terrace outside Bunkers Restaurant on the fourth side. It has an open central area with mats for utilising ab rollers, pilates balls etc.

Description
Covering more than 265 acres of landscaped turf, gardens and lakes, this spectacular golf course provides the player with undulating "links land" style fairways which challenge and intrigue all levels of player. Placement of the drive to the generous fairways remains the cornerstone of any good round. The flat landing area of each fairway can be challenging to find, but a rewarding adventure. With 14 lakes and 81 bunkers, The Montgomerie Dubai, the first and only example of the association between golfing great Colin Montgomerie and Desmond Muirhead, adds a distinctive variety to the golfing landscape of the region.

One of the signature holes is the par 5 fourth, dubbed the Snake hole for its saddleback fairway which doglegs towards the green, with 2 bunkers behind forming the eyes of the snake. Further on, the par 5 ninth, with water down the left, is a tough finish to the opening half. The par 3 thirteenth, a hole designed in the shape of the UAE, boasts a 360 degree teeing area around an island fairway and green, allowing for a completely different golf hole to be played every time. However, it is the par 5 eighteenth that offers a more classic test. At 656 yards it is a monster and, with water protecting the front of the green, it defies even the best player to hit the green in two.

Signature Angsana (120-minute session)
Using palm strokes and thumb pressure, our skilled therapist works on your body's key pressure points to strengthen inner qi. This signature massage was created exclusively for Angsana Spa and uses the specially formulated Euphoria Oil to enhance the experience.

Muscle Ease (90/120 minute session)
Using deep pressure of the thumb and palm to pleasantly target specific trigger points in the body, this massage relieves strains on the upper and lower back as well as the shoulder areas. With Invigorating Oil, it helps ease toxin build-up and improves blood circulation. Ideal for injury-prone sportsmen and strained desk workers.

Classic Aroma Thai (120-minute session)
Take a relaxing journey back to ancient days with the age-old Thai massage that has been skilfully adapted to complement the properties of Vitality Oil. This 90-minute massage encompasses the use of palm strokes, stretching techniques and the revitalising aroma of the oil to help improve blood circulation and mobility as well as relieve tension.

Ayurvedic (90-minute session)
Spoil yourself with this soothing primeval Indian massage: relaxing movements using mostly palm strokes to ease off aches and tension while promoting blood circulation. Sesame Oil is used for its warming and purifying properties.

Ibu’s Secret (90/120 minute session)
Adapted from traditional Balinese technique, this deep tissue massage aids blood circulation and relieve tension. Invigorating effects are enhanced by warming properties of Turmeric and Eucalyptus extracts in the Melody Oil.

Waves (90/120 minute session)
Inspired by traditional Hawaiian techniques, this massage relaxes your body and restores balance and harmony. Our therapist delivers long, smooth strokes using her entire arm for this strong massage.
Soothing

Dreams (90/120 minute session)
Created especially for tired bodies, this calming experience is also a perfect remedy for jet lag. Long, firm palm strokes with Sesame Oil soothe tensed muscles, and help to induce body, mind and soul to a state of complete relaxation.

Rhythmic (90-minute session)
This massage brings relief to tense muscles with a combination of strokes and light percussion, and is suitable if you prefer to lie on your sides. A linen pouch filled with rice flour and dipped in warm Vitamin E-enriched oil is glided over the body. This is a favourite among mature guests and ladies who are pregnant.

Aloe Avocado for sensitive/dry skin

Cranley Comment
Angsana Spa is located on the ground floor. It has six treatment rooms, three each for men and women with two interconnecting for joint treatments. There is also a mens and ladies steam room and plunge pool located in the golf club changing rooms on the lower ground floor level. The reception area has a large white reception desk and lots of polished wood trimmings, and each treatment room is sumptuously furnished. Angsana Spa has a comprehensive menu of treatments and therapies, mostly using natural ingredients.

Elevator access to all three levels of the hotel. The three parking spaces immediately outside the hotel are reserved for Disabled if required.
Rooms & Bathrooms
All rooms have wide entrance doors, some Superior rooms have walk in wardrobes and wide bathroom access.

Good wheelchair access to the restaurants and bars.
There are two disabled toilets on the Ground Floor level next to Nineteen Restaurant.
Recreation Facilities
Good wheelchair access to the grounds and golf course area.
Staff Assistance
The Montgomerie will make staff available to assist guests if required.
Cranley Comment
The Montgomerie has good access to all areas for physically challenged guests. Facilities and access within the hotel are good for the disabled, although there are no aids evident for the partially sighted and hard of hearing.
