Tamani Hotel Marina is situated in a prime position on Al Sufouh Road between Media City and Dubai Marina. This all suite hotel has fifty floors with many of the two, three, and four bedroom suites having panoramic views over the Palm. Originally designed as apartments, the suites offer guests spacious accommodation with a mix of Arabian and International décor, each suite has large living areas, a fitted kitchen with a range of appliances, glasses, cups, saucers and cutlery. The hotel's health club and fitness centre is located on the 4th floor and has a state of the art gym, indoor and outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. There areseveral rooms available for meetings and conferences with video conferencing facilities. The restaurant serves a buffet and A la carte International Mediterranean style menu with soft drinks only as the hotel is ‘dry’. The hotel allows guests to bring and consume alcohol in the privacy of their own suites. Due to the size of each suite the hotel is a good base for business travellers during the week and is also popular with families at weekends, ladies travelling alone have the option of staying in suites on dedicated ladies' floors which are serviced by female staff.

Tamani Hotel Marina is situated close to Dubai Marina and Media City on Al Sufouh Road, near intersection No. 5 on the Sheikh Zayed Road. Within the immediate area of the hotel there are many new developments including the Marina Mall which is within walking distance. The Mall has a selection of restaurants, a chemist, book shop and a well stocked Spinneys supermarket. The hotel runs three times daily shuttle services to Jumeirah Beach Park, IBN Battuta Mall, Mall of the Emirates and the Madinat Souq.

Layout Description
The Tamani Hotel Marina is a towering circular fifty storey all suite hotel with suites situated on most of the floors. The entrance to the hotel is set back from the road and has a small set down area and further covered valet parking spaces. The circular lobby has a central table with domed ceiling above which has reflective blue lighting. Surrounding this is a Reception and Concierge desk to the left, Guest Relations desk to the right and Majlis seating. The guest lifts are situated centrally to the entrance at the rear of the lobby, three of the lifts take guests to the health club, pools and meeting rooms on the 4th floor and the Premier Suites on floors 7 to 25. The remaining three lifts on the left, service the 4th floor, health club, pools and meeting rooms and the Exclusive Suites on the higher 27th to 50th floors of the building. The hotels restaurant is located on the lobby level, past the guest lifts on the right hand side.

The Tamani Hotel Marina has a small driveway which runs parallel to the street and has space for drop off and pick up short term parking. The entrance lobby is circular with large plate glass windows facing the street, Arabic style gold seating and coffee tables surround the circumference of the lobby with Reception and Concierge desks to the left and a Guest Relations desk to the right. At the centre of the lobby there is a domed ceiling, large central glass table below and oil paintings of the ruling Sheikh upon the surrounding walls. The floors are marble with complementing pillars at the entrance and the rear of the lobby area, which leads to the hotel guest lifts and restaurant which is due to open in late 2008. The hotel Reception and Concierge desk is manned 24 hours a day, complimentary Arabic coffee and dates are also served in the Majlis area.

Description
There are no shops or amenities within the Tamani Hotel Marina itself. In the building next door to the hotel there is a small 'Last Minute' shop which also has a delivery service. It is generally open from 07:00 to 23:00, selling a small selection of groceries, tobacco, newspapers and personal items. The hotel runs a 3 times daily complimentary shuttle service to IBN Battuta Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Madinat Souq.

Tamani Hotel Marina has large two, three, and four bedroom suites that occupy a 50 floor building which was originally designed for large apartments. Premier Suites are situated on floors 7 to 25 Exclusive Suites are on floors 27 to 50. Each suite benefits from an entrance hall, guest cloakroom, separate bathrooms for each guest bedroom and a maids/luggage room with separate shower. The living areas are spacious and have solid wood furniture, marble floors, high ceilings with a selection of lights with dimmer switches creating an array of lighting effects to suit most moods. The kitchens are equipped with a full range of appliances and a well stocked mini bar facility that includes soft drinks and snacks.

This is complemented by modern prints on the walls, large pot plants, modern planters and a dining table for six. The kitchens vary in size. The master bedroom is en-suite and has an additional plasma television situated on the dressing table, closet space, Arabian headboard and side tables with feature lighting and vibrant bolster cushions and matching curtains. Cranley Comment
Nar and Hail is an all day dining restaurant is located on the ground level providing guests with a range of dining experiences. Nar and Hail serves a selection of Arabic and Mediterranean specialty dishes like milk fed whole succulent braised lamb. The menu changes daily according to seasonal variations and the chef’s creativity. For those after a light snack there are a range of dishes including salads and speciality pizza’s. When weather permits there are also some tables outside for Al Fresco dining.

4th FLOOR

Al Abra and Al Khour;
are located on the 4th floor level and are easily accessible by lift, natural light is available. The rooms are decorated with minimalist traditional Arabic style and influence and have state of the art equipment, high ceilings and large windows with some wood panelling below. There is a small break out area leading to both of the rooms and there are ladies' and gents' facilities on the same floor level.

Business facilities at the Tamani Hotel Marina have been expanded and now include seven meetings rooms and outdoor event space as well as a new business centre. Due to the age of the hotel, having only being completed in 2008, all the equipment that is provided for delegates is up to date with the latest technology. The two business rooms have high ceilings and are bright with windows that look out to the large terrace which can also be hired for events. The hotel has special delegate packages including various dining options and outside caterers are also welcome.

Although having limited facilities for children, Tamani Hotel Marina is a very child friendly hotel. The hotel provides a baby sitting service and there is a children’s indoor pool. Generally the hotel is very popular with local families, especially during holidays.

Description Jumeirah Beach Park is a public beach open from 8:00 to 23:00. Visitors must pay a small charge to enter the beach area and sun loungers and parasols are available for hire. Visitors to the Jumeirah Beach Park should note that one day per week is designated as 'Ladies Only' day and they should check before visiting which day it is.

The Jumeirah Beach Park is a public beach with a small charge for entry. The beach park has a large beach with lifeguards, sun lounger and parasol hire, toilet facilities and a snack bar for cold drinks and fast food refreshments. There is a grassed area and an area planted with trees, where barbeques are available for public use. There are football goals and beach volleyball facilities on the beach in addition to an adventure type playground to keep younger children entertained.

The indoor pool and children’s pool is situated within the Tamani Health & Fitness Club on the 4th floor. The main pool is kidney shaped with a constant depth of 1.4 metres. Situated to its side is a small children’s pool, raised Jacuzzi and a number of relaxation beds, chairs and tables. The complex has double storey height ceilings and tinted glass windows along one wall which overlooks the outdoor infinity pool, terrace and sea. Due to its size and structure the pool area can become noisy during peak times and especially during holidays when it is popular with families and younger children.

The hotel's outdoor pool is a slightly irregular shaped infinity pool located on the 4th floor within the Tamani Health & Fitness Club. It has views over the Marina and sea and is overlooked from the indoor pool. There is a paved area surrounding the pool with sun-beds, tables, chairs and a few umbrellas. Attendants are able to provide food and non alcoholic beverages from the ‘In Suite Dining' menu. There are a number of building projects locally in the Marina area which may cause some noise disturbance at times.

Tamani Health & Fitness Club is situated on the 4th floor of the hotel, the gym is 400 square metres in size and is double storey in height with a full height glass window to one side overlooking the terrace and city skyline. The remaining walls are painted white and have mirrors which creates even more light in this well equipped modern gym. Personal training is available and is chargeable. Within the fitness club complex there are separate ladies' and gentlemen's changing facilities, lockers, sauna and a steam room and access to the swimming pools and indoor Jacuzzi.

Description
This was the first grass course in the Gulf region when it opened in 1988. The club features two championship courses; the Majlis and the Wadi. The Majlis was the original course and was designed by Florida based designer Karl Litten. The Wadi opened in 1996 and was re-designed in 2007 by Nick Faldo. Despite a number of new courses, it still ranks as one of the best in Dubai. It has hosted the Dubai Desert Classic fifteen times for the last six years in succession.

The entrance to the Tamani Hotel Marina has a ramp in front of the revolving door and two side doors that lead to the lobby. The lobby area has highly polished floors and is well lit. There is a ramp with good grip ridges to the entrance of the new restaurant which is located to the right after the guest lifts. There are also ladies' and gents' specially adapted cloakrooms in this area of the hotel. The hotel has three wheelchairs and three Artificial Electric Defibrillators, one at the front office, one at the Tamani Health Club & Fitness Centre and one in the back office area of the hotel. The Tamani Health Club & Fitness Centre and Boardrooms are located on the 4th floor of the hotel and are accessible by lift.
Rooms & Bathrooms
Tamani Hotel Marina suites have large living rooms with very wide entrance doors and standard internal doors measuring 76cms. There are no special facilities within each suite for the physically challenged. With the exception of the master bedroom in the four bedroom suite the bedrooms are of a typical hotel size. The bathrooms are small which allows for little manageability. The separate shower room in each suite has better access. The hotel prefers that guests with limited mobility stay in suites that are closer to ground level.
Restaurants & Catering
The restaurant at the Tamani Hotel Marina is located on the ground floor lobby level to the right after the guest lifts. Access to the restaurant from the hotel will be via a ramp that has grip ridges on the floor. A new cloakroom facility has been built in this area which has both ladies' and gentlemen's specially adapted toilets with two grab rails. Guests with special dietary requirements, sugar free, gluten free etc. should discuss the options available to them at the time of ordering, there are a number of healthy option Frappe’s available on the menu.
Recreation Facilities
The Tamani Health & Fitness Club is situated on the 4th floor of the hotel. The terrace areas around the pools, gym and locker rooms all have level access. Both indoor and outdoor pools have traditional step ladder access. The indoor Jacuzzi is raised by two steps.
Staff Assistance
Staff are on hand to provide assistance although they are not specially trained in certain aspects of care. The hotel has three wheelchairs and three Artificial Electric Defibrillators, one at the front office, one at the Tamani Health Club & Fitness Centre and one in the back office area of the hotel. On each floor the suites have easy access to the lifts and emergency floors, however the hotel prefers that guests staying at the hotel with limited mobility book suites that are closer to the ground floor level.
Cranley Comment
Although the Tamani Hotel Marina is a new hotel there are limited facilities for guests with special needs. There are no specially adapted suites within the hotel or any additional equipment provided by the hotel. The entrance to each suite is very wide with the internal doors being of a standard sized, the bathrooms are small. There is one adapted cloakroom on the lobby level of the hotel close to the restaurant, it has two grab rails. The fitness facilities and boardrooms on the 4th floor have level access, the large terrace at the rear of the hotel which is used for functions and events has six steps down. There are no special induction loop systems in place for the hard of hearing and no facilities for the partially sighted in the lifts or elsewhere. Staff are on hand to give assistance to guests if required although they are not fully trained in some areas of care.

The hotel recycles waste in the form of bottles, plastics and glass for the municipality to remove. The nine master en-suite bathrooms in the Penthouse suites have Jacuzzi baths which are fitted with electronic temperature control devises which help to save on water and electricity. Staff at the hotel are actively encouraged to donate blood, and the hotel aims to be able to support a selection of local charities.
