The Ibis Deira City Centre is a no frills, self service hotel located in the heart of the historic area of Dubai, opposite the Deira City Centre shopping mall and within the business district of Port Saeed. The hotel is only 5 minutes from Dubai International Airport and 15 minutes from the World Trade Centre. The hotel offers 365 air-conditioned rooms, a bistro restaurant and lobby cafe. Guests on a business trip can enjoy the convenience of broadband internet access in all rooms and WiFi in the lobby. The Ibis Deira City Centre can also provide guests with access to the swimming pool and meeting rooms at the Novotel Deira City Centre for a small fee.

Location Description
The Ibis Deira City Centre is located in the heart of the historic part of Dubai, opposite the Deira City Centre shopping mall and within the business district of Port Saeed. Only 5 minutes from Dubai International Airport and 15 minutes from the World Trade Centre, the Ibis Deira City Centre is easily accessed from the Floating Bridge, Maktoum Bridge and Garhoud Bridge coming from Abu Dhabi direction and is close to the main road through Deira. The hotel provides a shuttle service every 30 minutes from the hotel to the airport and taxis are readily available from the main road. Business districts, Dubai centre, tourist sights and freezones are within 30 minutes of the hotel.

Layout Description
The service road to the Ibis Deira City Centre passes the Novotel Deira City Centre and turns a corner to the right where you will find the lobby entrance to the Ibis Deira City Centre. The lobby is an open plan space, with the right hand side set out for the lobby coffee shop, with a high table with three broadband internet access points. Directly ahead of the entrance is a range of sofa seating and the entrance to Tempo main breakfast area through the floor to ceiling sheer white curtains. To the left of the lobby is Reception and just beyond, you will find the lift to the bedroom floors as well as the lobby toilet facilities. All facilities are located on the ground floor and bedrooms are located on floors 1 to 9. The 5th and 6th floors provide smoking rooms and you will find shoe polish stations and drinks vending machines on every floor. For meeting rooms, swimming pool and gym facilities, the co-located sister hotel Novotel Deira City Centre is available to guests for a small fee.

Cranley Comment
Guests need to use their key card to access the lift and their individual room. There are vending machines for soft drinks, juices and water on every floor as well as a shoe shine. On entering the room the key card is required to activate the electrics. The bathrooms are located by the front door and include a toilet, sink and shower. The hotel has 270 double bed rooms and 97 twin bed rooms which are small and functional with a desk area, open closet, built in headboard and side rest. The decor is simple and clean with natural colours in brown and beige. Unusually for an Ibis, all rooms provide a built in hairdryer. There is no safety deposit box in the room, however there is one available on request at Reception.

Tempo Terrace, Tempo Restaurant and Bistro Domino provide Ibis Deira City Centre guests with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Whilst the hotel does not provide room service, there is a 24 hour food & drink service provided in the lobby which can also be taken to your room. Snacks include salad, sandwiches, pizza, mezzeh and a small selection of main dishes.

There are also restaurants available at the Deira City Centre Novotel and in Deira City Centre Shopping Mall.

Tempo Terrace is located in the lobby to the right of the entrance and provides 24 hour snack and breakfast options for guests. Breakfast is served from 04:00 to 12:00 with early and late riser options which include a selection of pastries and there are snacks available at all hours. There is a serving bar to the back of the lobby and three workstations for the convenience of guests. Daily newspapers and local magazines are provided free of charge and a variety of soft drinks and mocktails are served in Tempo Terrace.

Tempo Restaurant opens for breakfast every day. The entrance to the restaurant is to the back of the lobby through floor to ceiling white chiffon curtains. High level breakfast tables with stools and diner style yellow upholstered benches with high backs provide an almost diner feel to the setting. The buffet is set up indoors at the front of the restaurant and guests can eat indoors or outdoors on the terrace.

Bistro Domino is a French restaurant with a French chef providing traditional French food, including an a la carte menu with escargot and pork sausage dishes. The restaurant has a black and white theme, with large black and white marble tiles on the floor and right hand side wall. Black upholstered chairs and a black and white marble bar runs down the left hand side of the room. During summer the outdoor terrace can be used for lunch-time also. There is also a set lunch menu and daily specials.

  Jumeirah Beach Park
     
Location There is a daily shuttle service at 09:00 and 12:00 to the beach park returning at 15:00 and 18:00.
The journey takes approx 30 minutes.
Description Jumeirah Beach Park is a public beach open from 8:00 to 23:00. Visitors must pay a small charge to enter the beach area and sun loungers and parasols are available for hire. Visitors to the Jumeirah Beach Park should note that one day per week is designated as 'Ladies Only' day and they should check before visiting which day it is.

The Jumeirah Beach Park is a public beach with a small charge for entry. The beach park has a large beach with lifeguards, sun lounger and parasol hire, toilet facilities and a snack bar for cold drinks and fast food refreshments. There is a grassed area and an area planted with trees, where barbeques are available for public use. There are football goals and beach volleyball facilities on the beach in addition to an adventure type playground to keep younger children entertained.

  Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club
Description
Opened in 1993 and extensively re-modelled in 2005, the course is set next to Dubai Creek, close to the city centre and Dubai International Airport. The championship course was re-designed by Thomas Bjorn and is set in undulating fairways lined with palms, attractive water hazards and shrubbery that give it a tropical and secluded feel despite being close to the city centre. The complex also features a nine hole floodlit par-three course. The course was voted in November 2005 as one of the top 100 world courses to play and hosted the Dubai Desert Classic in 1999 and 2000.

The Ibis Deira City Centre has full wheelchair access to all floors and areas. The lobby can be accessed by a very low level ramp or from the underground parking with ease. Flooring is carpeted or tiled throughout and is solid in texture making it easy to walk on or for wheelchair use.

The Ibis Deira City Centre is well equipped for mobility impaired guests with wide open spaces, ramps and easily traversed flooring. Food outlets are all located in one area and on the same floor providing easy access. Accessibility rooms are located on the 1st floor, a short distance away from the food outlets.
