A modern boutique style hotel in the heart of Dubai City within walking distance of the Creek and traditional souqs with their rich and ancient Arabic culture. The hotel has 140 guest rooms and suites and an eclectic selection of restaurants comprising Arabian, Indian and International cuisine and a coffee shop, all decorated with ethnic features. The hotel further benefits from a rooftop swimming pool and Jacuzzi, gym, sauna, steam room, massage room and a 24 hour business centre with meeting rooms, banqueting and conferencing facilities, as well as wireless internet access. Guests have complimentary access to the beach, pool and spa facilities of a sister hotel, the Coral Beach Resort in Sharjah, which is about a 20 minute drive away (a minimal transport charge applies). Guests should note that this hotel has a no-alcohol policy.

It is within walking distance of Dubai Creek and the souqs, whilst the Dubai Creek and Al Badia world-class golf courses are also close by. Guests can visit the Creek promenade which extends from the Corniche allowing visitors to stroll along the Arabian Gulf coast or can take advantage of transfers to the Coral Beach Resort in Sharjah, a 20 minutes drive away.

Layout Description

The open plan lobby with check-in facilities is furnished with leather sofas and chairs. Rumours Café is located in the lobby area, whilst the gift shop, business centre and private meeting rooms are located directly off the main lobby lounge. A spiral staircase leads to the open mezzanine floor where the Arabian and Indian restaurants are located, as well as the conferencing and banqueting suites. The swimming pool and gym are situated on the rooftop with changing facilities, jacuzzi and sauna, steam and massage room.

The Lobby is decorated with large art deco paintings and a floor to ceiling hand painted fresco. It has a domed ceiling with frescos and decorative vine chandeliers. The check-in desk counter has 2 terminals and a separate concierge desk where guests can book taxis and a range of tours. There is also an independent car hire desk where guests can rent a car or book a chauffer-driven limousine. The 24 hour Rumours Cafe is also located in the lobby area.

Coral Deira Hotel is situated in Muraqqabat Street close to the gold souks and ethnic shopping streets and the Al Gurair City Shopping mall, the oldest in Dubai with its speciality stores selling everything from Arabic jewellery and rugs to South African beauty products and Italian children’s dresses. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle bus service to Dubai shopping centres and Sharjah for further amenities.

The Coral Deira offers guests a choice of room types ranging from Single and Double Rooms to large one bedroom Suites. Club Select Rooms and Suites benefit from the range of complimentary Club services noted above.The hotel's corridors lead off the central lifts and are decorated in pastel colours in keeping with the style of the hotel, with framed old Arabic paintings and mahogany occasional tables, a collection of ornaments and trinkets from the region. All rooms and suites are decorated in creams, with rust and gold fabrics and art deco pictures and are furnished with cherry wood furniture. Some rooms look onto closed-door balconies.

The Rasoi Restaurant has an ornate entrance in carved Indian wood with an enormous wood elephant. It is decorated in gold and red and is furnished in traditional Indian style with ethnic ornate lamps and a draped central Indian pagoda for intimate dining. At night the restaurant is candle-lit and a band provides live Indian traditional music from 21:00 to 01:00. The Rasoi offers a complete menu of Indian dishes flavoured with exotic herbs and spices. Specialty drinks include Jalijeera, Lassi and Chass Indian non alcoholic beverages. It is located on mezzanine level, which can be reached from the staircase in the lobby.

Al Nafoora is a buffet style restaurant serving a range of specialty Arabian and International dishes and themed evenings are offered twice weekly. The restaurant is decorated in soft sandstone colours with ornate mosaic flooring and a central water feature under a leafy pagoda. There is a raised window seated area with wood pillars and Arabian style arches and the cherry wood tables have fringed Arabic style tapestry covers. Al Nafoora is also located on mezzanine level, which can be reached from the staircase in the lobby.

Rumours Café is situated in the lobby and has marble floors and an elegant spiral staircase leading to the mezzanine floor. The ceiling has a central hand-painted fresco and wood pillars. The café offers a range of sandwiches, salads, light snacks, ice creams, deserts and beverages. There is a pianist playing in the evening from 19:00 to 23:00 that adds to the café’s ambience. Guests can either sit at small intimate walnut tables with green leather chairs or around the central curved seating area.
