The Al Murooj Rotana Suites is a new suite hotel located in the fashionable Sheikh Zayed Road area of Dubai; it is nestled between the Dubai Finance Centre and the fast growing Burj Dubai development. The suites are part of a larger complex that includes the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel and private accommodation buildings to create a courtyard feel to the complex. Only guests of the hotel and suites can use the hotel facilities. The suites have a variety of room types and have its own dedicated gym and pool. Guests of the suites have use of all the deluxe facilities located at the hotel including a choice of fine dinning and more casual dinning restaurants. For sports there are three tennis courts that the hotel shares with the private residents as well as it’s a more comprehensive health club with gym and massage facilities. There is an English style pub as well as a sophisticated night club.

The Al Murooj Rotana Suites are located just off the Sheikh Zayed Road between the Dubai International Financial City and the fast developing Burj Dubai district. For business guests its central location gives it easy access to the Media and Internet cities, World Trade Centre Convention Centre and the Jebel Ali Free Zone whilst for leisure travellers it is near to the Jumeirah beaches, Wild Wadi Water Park, shopping centres and the new ski slope.

Layout Description

The Al Murooj Rotana Suites are located next to the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel. On the ground floor is the lobby with the swimming pool and fitness centre located on the first floor with the rooms on the remaining floors. The building is located next to the hotel so it is less than a minute walk for guests to access all the hotel facilities including the range of restaurants, bars and leisure activities

The lobby is well specified with an abundance of marble and an ornate high style front desk counter with space for two receptionists. The lifts have mirrored doors with dark wood surrounds and are decorated with palms. There is ample seating in the lobby with blue and cream sofas and arm chairs. Overall the reception gives the impression of elegance and sophistication.

The boutiques are located on the right side of the hotel reception and cover the necessities as well as a fine jeweller. The salon is predominately for ladies but has a separate room for men. As well as hair it also covers waxing, pedicures and manicures. Nearby to the hotel is the largest shopping mall in Dubai; The Mall of the Emirates.

All rooms are well appointed with furniture and facilities; each bedroom has en-suite bathrooms and satellite plasma televisions. The rooms are also equipped with high speed internet connections. The apartments come with either a view over the Burj Dubai development or the swimming pool and courtyard of the complex.

The Studio is an open plan room complete with a kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. There is a breakfast bar that separates the kitchenette from the rest of the room and acts as the dinning table with two high stools. The room also has a desk/dressing table. The décor is contemporary with the room being decorated in creams and furnished with traditional mahogany furniture and a king bed.

The Duplex has an entrance hall with a desk and guest cloakroom that leads into an open plan lounge/dinning room. The dinning room has a dinning table which seats eight and floor to ceiling windows that lead out onto a balcony. The lounge has a plasma screen television and a marble spiral staircase which leads to a gallery with a second open plan lounge complete with another plasma screen television and desk with high speed internet connection. The room leads out through French windows to a balcony with wrought iron chairs and table. The light oak kitchen is fully fitted and is equipped for eight guests. The bedrooms are furnished in cream with light wood wardrobes, free standing mahogany vanity units and traditional mahogany furniture in keeping with style of the apartment. The Presidential Apartments are set on two floors, designed in a semi circle and have an adjoining door enabling them to be linked together to form one six bedroom apartment taking over the whole floor and balcony. All the rooms are semi circular in the design of the apartment and are furnished with dark wood, marble floors, furniture in a modern design with deep blue silk curtains, gold and cream drapes and wall coverings. The Apartments are accessed via double doors leading into a marble entrance hall with marble spiral staircase featured with tropical plants and leading onto the upstairs reception lounge. The Apartment has a number of luxurious features including a swimming pool on the terrace, a semi circular sunken lounge which opens onto the pool terrace, a twelve person dinning table approached by marble stairs and luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms.

The Al Murooj Rotana complex has seven different dinning options ranging from Pergolas which is an international restaurant offering buffet and al a carte to Waterside, Latino House and Zaika in their own purpose-built buildings in the hotel grounds overlooking the feature stream/lake. Waterside and Latino House have al fresco dinning on a wooden terrace set on the small lake which at night is lit up by flaming lanterns set around the perimeter of the wooden terraces. Inside the hotel there is also an Arabic restaurant, Mawal, which has a live band and belly dancing show every evening. For those wanting more casual dinning the Double Decker pub also serves a range of English pub-style food and you can enjoy light dining at the Circle Lobby Café in the hotel and the City Cafe in the lobby of the Residences.

The City Café is a contemporary open plan lobby restaurant with marble floors, dark wood walls and a feature aquarium tropical fish tank. The café is decorated in cream, with cream and blue furniture and ornate circular centre area, circular ceiling and lighting. The high counter serving area has a patisserie displaying freshly made cakes pastries and cookies. The menu offer guests a range of sandwiches, salads and a range of international light foods and deserts.

The Pergolas restaurant is located at the rear of the hotel lobby which is on the second floor and opens out onto a terrace with a feature stone and timber Pergola with views overlooking the rest of the Al Murooj complex. The restaurant itself is decorated with modern wood finished walls, dark tan wooden flooring with an inset ‘shattered glass effect’ panelling running down the centre of the restaurant floor with soft lighting underneath. The restaurant features background music.
