Location Description
Ideally located in the heart of the capital's business and shopping districts, the Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers is set on its own stretch of beach in the Tourist Club Area of Abu Dhabi, next to the Navy Gate on one side and a number of other international hotels to its other side, including the Marina Club followed by the Le Meridian. The beach is directly ahead and overlooks the Arabian Gulf and Al Reem Island in the distance. The entrance to the resort faces onto the Tourist Club and the city of Abu Dhabi, with the 'City Terminal' located just a short distance away where guests can check-in for their flight, including baggage deposit, for any of the major airlines. The resort is just 30 minutes away from Abu Dhabi International Airport. Home to the prestigious Abu Dhabi Trade Centre complex, the resort is directly linked by an exclusive passageway to the Abu Dhabi Mall.

Layout Description
The hotel is split into a 7 floor Beach Wing and the newer 13 floor Tower Wing. Guests should note the Tower wing floors are numbered from 8 to 20, so the firts floor is floor 8. One enters the hotel's impressive grand lobby area to find the check-in desks to the right, lobby shops to the left and a distant view of the gardens and the beach directly ahead. Leading off a passage at the back left of the lobby is Rodeo Grill, Prego's Intalian Restaurant and Benihana's, as well as the hotel's private entrance to the Abu Dhabi Mall. At the right back of the entrance lobby is the Cafe Columbia lounge, which also serves the main lobby seating area, and a passage leading past Trader Vic's, the Business Centre, Ladies and Mens salons, on to the Rosebuds and Brauhaus restaurants at the far right back. Bodylines Leisure & Fitness Club is a short walk along the beach pathway and is located past the children's play area, main pool and beach area just before the 2 tennis courts. Most of the extensive Conference facilities and Meeting rooms are located on the Mezzanine floor in the main hotel. The Suites are reached via a separate entrance about 100 metres from the main hotel entrance.

A Guest Relations desk is located directly ahead as you enter the lobby. The lobby itself benefits from an impressive Grand atrium with wall-to-wall glass at its back to catch a glimpse of the distant lawn and beach area. To the immediate right is the concierge desk, followed by the check-in desks and then a passage leading past Trader Vic's restaurant, the business centre, two beauty salons and finally leading into the Rosebuds reataurant and the Brauhaus at its end. To the right back of the lobby is a passage leading past Rodeo Grill and Prego's restaurants, then splits to the left for a private entrance to Abu Dhabi Mall, just past Benihana's, and to the right for an exit to the garden and beach area. The main lobby is impressively decorated in eloborate style and enjoys a sense of grandeur. Snacks, teas, coffees and drinks are served in the lobby area from the adjoining Cafe Columbia.

The Hotel Shop: Located to the left of the main lobby area sells magazines, newspapers, cigars, beachwear and a good range of local gifts and memorabilia of Abu Dhabi, including scarves, handbags, wood camels and cups. Open 9:00 to 23:00

Damas Exclusive Jewellery: Located to the left of the lobby, ahead of the Hotel Shop, sells fine watches, bracelets, necklaces and other fine jewellery, with an emphasis on diamonds. Open 10:00 to 12:00 and 16:30 to 22:00

Tayyita: Located in the Bodylines Leisure & Fitness Club, sells gym and beachwear and sun lotions. Open 9:00 to 20:00

There are a basic range of outlets within the Rotana Beach Hotel & Towers itself that include ladies and men’s salons, a hotel shop and jewellery store. The gym/beach store in the Bodylines Leisure & Fitness Club is a short walk along the outside walkway past the main pool. Importantly for this hotel, there is a direct and exclusive private entrance with security access from the hotel that leads directly into the extensive Abu Dhabi Mall where there are well over 100 further shops and amenities (including a 9 screen Cineplex) laid out over three floors.

Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers has two wings where hotel accommodation is housed: A Beach Wing (which opened in 1993 when the resort was originally built) and a Tower Wing (built in 2002). Beach wing floors are numbered 1 to 7 and Tower wing floors are numbered from 8 to 20, so the first floor in the Tower block is the 8th floor. A range of accommodation types are available in the Beach and Tower wings with the majority of the rooms being Superior, Premier and Club Rotana rooms. The apartments are housed separately in the Beach Rotana Suites building, which is within the Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers complex but has a separate entrance that is a short walk from the outside of the hotel.
