The hotel is well located in the ministry district of Amman, the Radisson SAS has good access to all business and tourist areas of the city, excellent local shopping and the many historical sites of Amman are just fifteen minutes away by taxi. In 2005 the hotel won the MENA Award for best Banqueting, Conference & Convention Hotel. The Radisson SAS offers a choice of fourteen multi-purpose conference/banquet/meeting rooms and a Business Centre. The hotel has five room types -Standard, Royal Club, Executive Suites, Presidential Suite and a Royal Suite. All rooms are tastefully furnished with dark wood and brass trimming, with comfortable lounge/sitting areas and all have city views. The restaurants cater to most cosmopolitan of tastes. Al Liwan is the main dining location and is on the ground floor level. Al Liwan combines the best of Europe, American and Mediterranean cuisine, Wings Club serves cocktails and light meals or snacks. For refreshments and live entertainment the Oasis Piano Lounge or in the summer, al fresco dining at the Fusion Terrace Restaurant and Bar on the 13th floor. There are limited activities for children, however older children will enjoy the Outdoor Pool and a new indoor/outdoor pool is planned for the First Floor level, which will also benefit from a purpose built gym, due for completion in 2007.

Location Description
Located in the heart of the diplomatic and ministry district of Amman the Radisson SAS has good access to all the business and tourist areas of the City. Excellent local shopping and renowned stores in International Malls is just fifteen minutes away by taxi. Historical sites in Amman include Jabal Al-Qal'a - a Roman Theatre and museum, Salt City - a window on the lifestyle of wealthy merchant families in the 19th century and a variety of churches and Hellenistic architecture from the early 2nd Century. Tours to all Jordan's famous sites including Jeresh, the Dead Sea and Petra can be arranged from the hotel. Queen Alia International Airport is approximately 35 km away, about forty minutes by taxi.

Layout Description
You approach the hotel up a steep staircase and enter into a large lobby area with three check-in desks immediately ahead of you. The main lounge area is to the left with the Oasis Piano Lounge at its furthest and the Al Liwan Restaurant, gift shop and outdoor pool all to the right. The business centre, conference and meeting rooms and other leisure facilities are on the first floor. The 10th to 12th Floors house all the Royal Club Rooms and suites, whilst the Royal Club Lounge is on the 13th Floor, exclusively for Royal Club guests. Also on the 13th and top floor is the summer opening restaurant, Fusion Terrace and Bar, with views over the city of Amman.

When entering the Radisson SAS Amman the check-in desks are directly in front of the main entrance. With marble flooring and dark wood decor the lobby area is very spacious. The lifts to the rooms are situated to the left of the desks. The Gift Shop is on the ground floor adjacent to the Al Liwan Restaurant. The area to the left of the check in desks, the Oasis Piano Lounge, is an open lounge with plentiful sofas and armchairs amongst the seating available. Drinks and light meals are served in the lounge area

The Hotel Gift Shop is located on the ground floor to the right of the front desk and is open from 07:00 to 23:00 for essentials such as newspapers, magazines, drinks, gifts and souvenirs.

The Radisson SAS has limited on-site shopping but is located close to downtown Amman which is only a ten minute taxi journey and offers a full range of stores and boutiques as well as local Jordanian products. For international shopping the Mecca Mall, Abdoun Mall, Carrefour Hypermarketor and the Sweifeh shopping areas are well worth a visit.

The Radisson SAS Amman offers five room types - Standard, Royal Club, Executive Suites, Presidentail Suite and a Royal Suite. All rooms are tastefully furnished with dark wood trimmings and are very spacious, have comfortable lounge/sitting areas and enjoy city views. Standard Rooms are all on floors 2 to 9. Guests exit the lifts onto a wide gallery area decorated in dark wood and proceed along low ceiling corridors with dark green/red patterned carpets to the entrance of their rooms. Standard Rooms are very spacious with plenty of dark wood trimmings, luxurious blue/grey bedcovers and fine brass fittings. All Standard Rooms have views over the city of Amman and have either a king size bed or two queen size beds.

The ceilings are higher and the decor is more lavish with fine prints and ceramic objects on display. The suites are furnished in a more contemporary style with brass fittings and plenty of artwork and other objects on display The suites have a blue/brown theme with royal blue carpets and light brown sofas and chairs. Al Liwan is located on the ground floor just to the right of the entrance and Front Desk. Al Liwan Restaurant offers all day dining and for breakfast has the Radisson SAS Super Breakfast Buffet. For lunch and dinner there is the option of buffet or a la carte. Al Liwan specialises in a mix of European, American and Mediterranean cuisine. It overlooks the outdoor pool (with optional outdoor dining on the terrace in the Summer) and with light furnishing it has a fresh and welcoming ambiance.

Located at the end of the ground floor furthest from the Front Desk and lifts, this is really two venues in one with the Wings Club staff serving the Oasis Piano Lounge, which is an open lounge area just outside the Wings Club entrance. The Oasis Piano Lounge is an extension of the lobby area with comfortable armchairs and sofas adorning the large open area which has a beautiful stained glass feature on the ceiling. The Wings Club is designed to pay tribute to the history of aviation with walls adorned with memorabilia and framed photos/prints of aircraft through the ages. It also has several small TV's and one large plasma screen TV all showing news/sports events. With contrasting menus, both offer a choice of main meals, snacks, hot and cold beverages. The Wings Club enjoys an extensive cocktail list - try their special Wings Club 'Night Fuel'.
