The Moevenpick Resort & Residence is a high quality resort hotel, located in the centre of Aqaba overlooking the Red Sea. The hotel is an architectural delight, featuring a mix of European and Arabesque designs with a feeling of grandeur and luxury. The lobby lounge and many of the restaurants and bars overlook the Palm Court Terrace, which is a focus for much activity both day and night and evokes a lively atmosphere. The main building and Residence have a wide selection of rooms, from Standard, Deluxe and Executive, to a variety of Suites and Duplexes, as well as the luxury of the Presidential Suite with its large terrace. The hotel has three swimming pools and a children's pool with an adjoining activity area. Guests can walk through the landscaped grounds to reach the hotel's own beach, where a variety of water sports and day or nighttime cruises are on offer. There is a spa, which offers a small selection of treatments and has its own male and female saunas. There is also a small gym. The hotel's Conference Centre overlooks the Palm Court Terrace and can host functions for up to 400 delegates. Smaller meeting rooms and a fully equipped Business Centre are also available.

Moevenpick Resort & Residence is located in the centre of Aqaba, overlooking the Red Sea. It has its own beach which is just a short stroll through landscaped gardens. The souk at Aqaba is about a fifteen minute walk away. Guests can shop at the international boutiques of the Aqaba City Centre Mall which is also about fifteen minutes away by taxi. Eilat in Israel is only 10 minutes away across the border, which opens up more shopping possibilities. The hotel is 12km from King Hussein International Airport at Aqaba.

Layout Description
The hotel entrance is just off the main road, protected by a security barrier. The main building is U-shaped and when entering the hotel, the reception desk is to the left. Three guest lifts are a little further on and beyond those is a car hire desk, the Business Centre and the Al Sufra Restaurant. The Palm Court Restaurant and the Abu Nawas Fun Pub are both at the level below. For the Residence, guests need to cross the Resort Bridge. The bridge also provides access to hotel shops, cafes, the Spa, the pools, the Gym and the beach, as well as the Al Shatt Restaurant and the Red Sea Grill. The Conference Centre is in a separate building on the other side of the Palm Court Terrace.

Guests entering the main building of Moevenpick Resort & Residence, will notice the delightful mosaic on the arched roof of the entrance hall and the gentle rhythm of the fountain at its centre. The Front Desk is situated just to the left of the fountain and has a lounge area in front with views down to the Palm Court Terrace. The Al Sufra Restaurant is situated to the left of the Front Desk, whilst the Al Nafoura Lounge Bar and Terrace is off to the right.

The hotel shops - Souk Zara, Aristocrat and the Elite Beauty Salon are all situated on the resort bridge between the Main Building and the Residence. The Bakery Shop is just outside the entrance to the hotel, alongside the Conference Centre building. In addition to the on site shops, the Souk and old city of Aqaba is about 15 minutes walk away and the Aqaba City Centre shopping mall, with International shops and boutiques is about 15 minutes by taxi. Aqaba is a duty free zone, so most items can be purchased free of tax.

There are four three Bed Duplexes and one four Bed Duplex at the Moevenpick Resort & Residence Aqaba, all on the 6th floor of the main building. The upper level of each duplex extends to the 7th floor, which offers panoramic views of the mountains, city of Aqaba and the Red Sea. With walls covered in artwork and artefacts and a skylight above the stairs, these rooms provide a homely environment . All the bedrooms are furnished with king size beds and cushions. The en-suite bathrooms have marble floors and surfaces with a bath and shower over, plus bidet and wc for the double bedroom, whilst the master bedroom en-suite has a separate walk-in shower.

The Presidential Suite occupies an imposing and private position on the second floor at the end of the corridor. An adjoining Executive Room can be linked to the Presidential Suite if required. The bedroom has a king size bed and is sumptuously furnished. The suite has an outstanding area for receptions or a large al fresco dinner party, with a huge open terrace which has commanding views of the Red Sea. The terrace is however, overlooked by the rooms above.

The Residence is accessed via the covered walkway from the main building and the Studios have a private entrance down some steps from the outside of the building. Guests enter into a spacious lounge area, which is furnished in a modern design in earthy colours and quality fabrics. The lounge has a kitchenette to the rear. The bedroom has a king size bed and benefits from a separate dressing room and is nicely furnished with large cushions. The bathrooms have marble floors and surfaces, with a bath and shower over, bidet and wc. All the Studios in the Residence are on the lower ground level and feature a small terrace and large windows allowing some daylight.
