The Jordan Valley Marriott Resort Spa is a modern resort property situated beneath the mountains and adjacent to the Dead Sea, at nearly 400m below sea level the lowest point on earth. It has for the last two years won the prestigious World Travel Award as Jordan's Leading Spa Resort. The hotel has four room types - Deluxe, Duplex, Junior Suites and Royal Suites, all furnished in bright modern colours with comfortable sitting/lounge areas and feature balconies or terraces with great views of the Dead Sea and the hotel swimming pools. The hotel has an abundance of restaurant and bar options to suit most tastes from International cuisine to Tex Mex and sophisticated piano lounge to poolside bar in its five quality restaurants and five bars. For leisure there is a choice of indoor and outdoor pools, children's pools, a well equipped Fitness Centre, tennis hard court and Spa. For functions, meetings and conferences the hotel has four meeting rooms and a large ballroom. Children can enjoy the pools, the 'Jungle' games room, two cinemas and an outdoor playground.

The Jordan Valley Marriott Resort Spa enjoys a prominent position on the Dead Sea 45km from Amman and 60km from the Queen Alia International Airport. The approach road from the Queen Alia International Airport is seemingly downhill for most of the route which winds its way through a desert and mountain landscape. It is situated in the 'hotels area' on the East Shore of the Dead Sea, and is adjacent to the other Dead Sea Hotels. It is just 12 km from the famous Christian Baptism site and over 200 km from the world renowned attractions of Petra and Wadi Rum.

Layout Description
The Jordan Valley Marriott Resort Spa is spread over five floors and three wings with the lobby, concierge, gift shop, business centre and car hire desk situated centrally on the third Floor level. The lobby area is an open atrium with spacious lounge seating areas, and adjacent to the lobby are Jo's Steak House and the Acacia Bar and Lounge. The guest rooms are located on the second to fifth floors and all have views of the Dead Sea and hotel pools. The Lobby looks down on the first and second floor levels at the rear of the property and the hotels grounds which contain the other restaurants, bars, pools, Spa, Gym and children's activity areas. The hotel grounds drop down quite steeply to a private beach at the shores of the Dead Sea.

When entering the Jordan Valley Marriott Resort Spa the reception desk is to the right of the main entrance. The lobby area is spacious and has marble flooring with luxurious carpets and comfortable leather seats. The lifts to the rooms are situated both to the left and right of the atrium lobby. The Gift Shop is just outside the main building on the left side as you enter the hotel. The Car Hire desk and Business Centre is to the right of the reception area close to the front of the hotel. The far end of the lobby overlooks the Mosaico Restaurant, here there is a large lounge area with plentiful seating and drinks and snacks are served from the nearby Acacia Lounge and Bar.

A small Gift Shop is located on the 3rd Floor (Lobby level) and sells basic amenities and local crafts from 07:00 to 23:00 daily. Some items can also be purchased from the Front Desk 24 hours a day.

The Jordan Valley Marriott Resort Spa has limited on-site shopping but is located just 45km from Amman which offers a full range of international shops and local Jordanian products. In Amman the Mecca Mall and the Sweifeh shopping areas are well worth a visit.

Deluxe Rooms are conveniently located and reached by any of the three main hotel lifts. On entering the room one finds yourself in a large hallway with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom is adjacent to the hall which leads to the beautifully furnished bedroom with King Size bed and a lounge area. Guests will be drawn to the window and balcony/terrace to get their first glimpse of the views of the Dead Sea.

A short walk through the hotel's bright and spacious corridors leads one to the Duplex Rooms which are mostly located well away from the main lobby area of the hotel. They are well suited to families or large parties seeking a more peaceful and quiet location. The kitchen and lower lounge/dining area gives the option of dining in the room. The bedrooms upstairs have a queen size bed in one bedroom and 2 double beds in the other room.

The Junior Suites have the full range of facilities provided in Deluxe Rooms but guests will enjoy considerably more space. The extra space in the Junior Suite will allow them the opportunity to relax or do business in the separate lounge area and the king size bed and separate dressing room with large mirror will ensure they can relax in a comfortable and luxurious atmosphere.

The two Royal Suites are on the 4th and 5th floors and occupy commanding positions in the central part of the hotel which ensures the best views available. Guests enter into a spacious lounge which leads to the dining area and the second lounge and master bedroom beyond, both of which have great views past the large balcony to the sea. Royal Suites are fitted out with every convenience and opulent furnishing.

Located on the second floor but visible from the lobby lounge area, the restaurant can be accessed via a wide sweeping staircase from the lobby, direct by lift from the bedrooms or through the outdoor entrance via the hotel gardens, Mosaico is a bright and spacious restaurant with the added benefit of outdoor seating overlooking the pool area. It is an all day International restaurant offering a buffet menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner; it also has various theme nights with Arabic, Mexican and Mediterranean food available on different nights each week.

A classic Italian restaurant decorated with dark wood, tiled flooring and a bar area making you feel like you are in Italy, Il Terrazzo is located on the hotels first floor level with terrace seating overlooking the Dead Sea. The terrace at lunchtime in particular will be attractive to diners. It offers an extensive menu featuring an antipasto bar, wood fired oven pizzas, freshly made pasta dishes, salads and more comprehensive dishes. Guests seated inside may get a view of the Arabic Terrace and the Middle Pool.

Located on the 3rd floor in a quiet area with a lounge area outside, Jo's Steakhouse is well hidden. A stylish and elegant restaurant designed in a North American style with low ceiling, marble flooring, subdued lighting and some tables discreetly screened from their neighbours. It has an impressive a la carte menu featuring their signature steaks, the Wagyu Strip loin and Rib Eye Roll.
