Marriott Amman is a modern city hotel located in the heart of Amman in the beautiful Shmeisani area, where it is well situated for the business and tourist areas of the City. Marriott Amman offers three room types; deluxe, executive or suite. All rooms have high speed internet access, minibar, iron/ironing board and hairdryer. Rooms are spacious and decorated mainly in green and terracotta colours. The suites combine a degree of luxury with practicality and all have large comfortable lounge areas. The Marriott Amman offers a good variety of dining options from International cuisine to Tex Mex. All day fine dining is available in the Villa Mediterrano or you can enjoy steaks in the elegance of The Library Lounge and Cigar Bar. Champions Sports Bar & Restaurant offers a contrasting atmosphere to the other restaurants, it is decorated in a sporting theme, with different live or recorded sporting events constantly being shown and it has a wide ranging menu to suite all tastes. Leisure facilities are all located at the Oasis Health Club which has a gym, two pools, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. It also offers a wide range of massages. Facilities for businessmen include two Business Centres, one exclusively for Executive Room guests and flexible meeting room options which can accommodate meetings/banquets for as few as 15 guests to 500 guests.

Located in the heart of Amman the Marriott has good access to the business and tourist areas of the City. Excellent local shopping or renowned stores in International Malls are just fifteen minutes away by taxi. Historical sites in Amman include Jabal Al-Qal'a, a Roman Theatre and museum, Salt City, a window on the lifestyle of wealthy merchant families in the 19th century and a variety of beautiful churches and Hellenistic architecture from the early 2nd Century. Queen Alia International Airport is approximately 30 km away, about 45 minutes by taxi.

Layout Description

As guests approach the hotel you will enter the spacious entrance hall which leads directly to the front desk. To the left of the front desk are the Business Centre and the elevators to all the rooms and other meetings facilities. A corridor next to the elevator leads to the shopping arcade and Oasis Health Club. From the lobby you see a lounge area above and a wide staircase which leads via the mezzanine to the first floor, where all the public areas of the hotel are found; the Piano Lounge, the three hotel restaurants and most of the meeting facilities.

When entering the Marriott Amman the reception desk is directly in front of the main entrance. The spacious lobby area has marble flooring and a large wooden front desk. The lounge area to the left of the Front Desk has comfortable sofas and chairs and extends to the mezzanine level via a wide staircase to the first floor where you can sit in comfort and overlook the main entrance and lobby. Beverages and light snacks are served from the Piano Lounge & Bar.

Description

Within the hotel the following shops are all located in the shopping arcade on the ground floor:

Al Kariz Gift Shop - sells basic amenities and local crafts from 07:00 to 23:00.

Arab Express Tours - open from 08:00 to 18:30 for travel and tours. Popular tours include Amman City, Ajloun, Jerash, Gedar & Pella, Madaba, Mt Nebo, The Dead Sea and Petra.

The Beauty Salon - has a men's and ladies section and is open from 08:00 to 21:00.

Zay - a men's fashion store open from 10:30 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:30.

There is also a branch of the Cairo Amman Bank and National Car Rental.

A shoe shine-service is available on the ground floor level just before you reach the shopping arcade.

Part of the Hotel but entered from just outside the Hotel's main entrance is La Patisserie, open 08:00 to 18:30. It has a wide range of cakes, cookies and sandwiches. A small area of seating is available inside and there is also a large outside terrace.

Marriott Amman has a reasonable range of on-site shopping as listed above. It is also located close to downtown Amman which is a 15 minute taxi journey and offers a full range of stores and boutiques as well as local Jordanian products. For international shops, visit Mecca Mall or the Sweifeh shopping area.

The Executive Lounge is on the twelfth floor and is open from 06:00 to midnight every day. It consists of a large lounge area, a separate meeting room which can accommodate eight in a boardroom style (this room can be reserved for up to 3 hours free of charge), and a small Business Centre with 3 PC's , a fax and copier - wireless internet access is available from the lounge. The Deluxe Rooms are approached along wide corridors decorated by dark patterned carpets and wood framed doors. Rooms are spacious and decorated in green and terracotta colours. They are well fitted out with a cupboard housing the TV and minibar being a dominant feature of the room. Deluxe rooms either have two twin beds or a King size bed. Bathrooms are decorated in marble and all have bath/shower, wc and bidet.

The Executive Suites are all on the 12th Floor, with a private lounge facility for their exclusive use. The rooms are spacious and decorated in green and terracotta colours giving a homely feel. All Executive Suites have a king size bed. Bathrooms are decorated in marble and all have bath/shower, wc and bidet. The key benefit of the Executive Suite is the access to the Executive Lounge which offers guests a quiet environment to do business or just relax.

The Royal suites are situated on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th floors of the Marriott Amman. They have a large lounge area (45sqm) and have dark wood trimmings which together with 2 windows provide a light and rich feel. On entering the room the bathroom is directly on the right and the lounge is straight ahead. The bedroom can be reached from either the lounge or through the bathroom. All Royal Suites have a King size bed. Bathrooms are decorated in marble and all have bath/shower, wc and bidet. Royal Suites all overlook the city of Amman.

Located on the first floor level adjacent to Champions Sports Bar and Restaurant and The Library Lounge and Cigar Bar. To its one side Villa Mediterrano has windows overlooking the outdoor pool and in the main part of the restaurant a large skylight, which provides for a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whilst it has a buffet menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it also has an a la carte option for lunch and dinner. Specialising in classic Mediterranean dishes the restaurant offers pizzas from a wood fired oven, freshly made pasta dishes, salads and a variety of entrees. Guests can enjoy watching their food being prepared in the exhibition kitchens. In the summer when the terrace is open themed menus are a regular feature.

Located on the first floor level adjacent to Villa Mediterrano and The Library Lounge and Cigar Bar, Champions offers a contrasting atmosphere to the other hotel restaurants. It is decorated in a sporting theme with memorabilia on all the walls and ceilings and with a large screen in the central area and multiple TV's elsewhere all playing different live or recorded sporting events. An extensive international menu offers a variety of classic American dishes, TexMex such as Quesadillas and Fajitas as well as the famous Marriott Burger. Monthly theme menus are a feature of this restaurant.

Located on the first floor level adjacent to Villa Mediterrano and Champions Sports Bar & Restaurant, the atmosphere and decor of The Library Lounge and Cigar Bar is like that of a private club. It enjoys a large ornate fireplace, shelves of books, walls covered in old and new prints, leather armchairs, low tables and subdued lighting. There is a small bar area at the far end of the restaurant with some bar stools. The menu offers a variety of entrees including their specialist steak dishes, enticing salads and appetisers. The Library Lounge and Cigar Bar has a selection of the best cigars available and offers humidors for rent so guests can keep their cigars in perfect condition.
