Built in 1992, the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest's façade is hung with an awning of curved steel supported by square marble columns. Inside, the sweeping white lobby is highlighted by huge windows both to the front and above the mezzanine level setting off the patterned marble floor. The hotel occupies a central position on the Pest side of the Danube overlooking Erzsebet Park and is close to historic sites, theatres, museums, shops and the Opera House. In 2006 alone the hotel won awards for Third Best Business Hotel in Eastern Europe, Best 5 Star Hotel in Budapest, Top 75 Hotels in Europe and Best Hotel in Budapest. The shape of the hotel provides a spacious interior and ensures there are a vast variety of rooms and suites to suit most guests' needs. The interior design of the hotel gives it the benefit of lots of natural light in all the public areas.

The three restaurants provide a good variety of dining experiences with the Bistro Jardin specialising in Hungarian and international dishes, the Ristorante Giardino offering cuisine from Italy whilst the Kempi Brahaus has a wide range of beers and German dishes. The Lobby Lounge is an ideal place to meet at teatime for refreshments and light snacks . Alternatively, guests can go to the Corvinus Bar to enjoy a cocktail before the evening starts. The Kempinski SPA has a pool, Fitness Centre, traditional Finnish sauna, steam bath, solarium and offers a wide range of massages and treatments. The hotel has a fully equipped Business Centre, Internet corner and a wide range of state-of-the-art meeting and conference rooms. Amidst leafy boulevards and imperial edifices, the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest is half a kilometre from St Stephen’s Basilica and one kilometre from the National Gallery. The hotel overlooks Erzabet Park on the Pest side of the Danube and is close to theatres, museums, shops and the Opera House. An underground station and tram/bus services are a few minutes walk away. The hotel is located just thirty minutes (twenty-five kilometres) by car from Budapest Airport (Ferihegy).

Layout Description
As you approach the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest through wide sweeping boulevards, with Erzsebet Square immediately in front of the building you feel you are in a quieter area than its central position indicates. The nine storey modern building is C-shaped which means the lobby area and all the corridors on the guest room floors are semi-circular. The reception and lifts are to the right of the main entrance and the shopping arcade to its left. The Lobby Lounge and all three restaurants are situated to the rear of the building and the Corvinus Bar is tucked away in the far right corner. Most of the meeting rooms together with the Business Centre on the first level and the Kempinski SPA is on the first floor level.

The hotel has an arcade of fashionable shops on the ground floor to the left of the reception desks and a Hair Salon situated on the first floor. Guests can shop in the Fashion Street in the hotel or need only take a five minute walk to the nearby Vaci Street pedestrianised shopping area for some of Budapest's finest shopping. It was the first street in Budapest to be pedestrianised, but it was one of the best places for shopping long before this change. The street was built in the 18th century but most houses date back to the 19th and early 20th century. Today it has a wide range of well known international stores as well as many specialist Hungarian shops.

Bedheads are pale wood inset with lacquer, behind which a feature wall is padded in either gold or turquoise, matching the curtains. The bedspreads are black and beige diamonds or silver with turquoise scrolls. Pale wood desks in rooms have high speed Internet access and two chairs. Marble bathrooms are inset with mother of pearl mosaic chips in the floor and walls. The rooms are all easily accessible from the lifts down wide corridors and all have excellent views of either the Courtyard, Erzebet Park or Becsi Street.
