Cranley Summary
The ultra modern Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf, is situated in a stunning location at Blackwall on the River Thames, where the river bends and offers superb views in both directions. The former Millennium Dome, now The O2 is opposite the hotel across the river. It's close to the heart of London’s Docklands, with easy access to the Canary Wharf business district, the ExCel Exhibition Centre and London City airport. The hotel offers 169 individually designed bedrooms and suites, all with complimentary WiFi access and it has seven fully equipped meeting and conference rooms, as well as a business centre. For dining, there is the Azura Restaurant which specialises in British cuisine, a cocktail bar and an outdoor terrace and urban riverside garden overlooking the River Thames. For relaxation the hotel offers the East River Spa, which together with some of the hotel's meeting rooms, is located in the adjoining Ontario Tower apartment building. All of these facilities are accessible without leaving the hotel.

Cranley Comment
The hotel entrance is through double glass sliding doors, into a narrow passageway that leads to another set of sliding doors. Given the hotel's location on the River Thames, this reduces the draught in the winter. The sizeable lobby area is all glass and steel and quite light and airy as a result. The Front Desk is opposite the entrance, but some way across the lobby. On entering the hotel, the bar and restaurant are up a few steps on the right, with the business centre and some meeting rooms on the immediate left. The hotel's three guest lifts which provide access to all floors, are at the side of the Front Desk. There is some seating in the lobby area, with a number of sofas and chairs spread around.
Shops & Amenities
Cranley Comment
The hotel has no amenities or shops on-site, but there is a convenience store within 5 minutes walk, as well as a dry cleaner's and an Italian restaurant. Canary Wharf is a 10 minute walk away and it has two shopping malls; Canada Square and Jubilee Square, both of which have a full range of high street stores. The traditional shops of 'old' East London are also only 10 minutes walk away.

There are six different room types in the hotel, but the only difference between the majority of them is whether they have a king size bed, a queen size bed or twin beds. All of the rooms apart from the suites have the same furnishings and décor, with light coloured walls, a dark grey/brown carpet and a wall sculpture. Superior rooms have red as their main colour for bed trims , whilst the deluxe rooms use shades of green. One bedroom suites have a very different appearance, with wooden floors and designer furniture, whilst the Penthouse suite is unique. All of the room types are located throughout the hotel.

The Penthouse Suite on the 7th floor is located in the best position at the front of the hotel, offering spectacular views of the river and The 02 opposite. The suite has its own unique design and bespoke furniture. Whereas red and green are used as the predominant colours for cushions and bed linen in the other bedrooms, the principal colours here are shades of purple and violet. The sitting room features a large L shaped sofa around a square coffee table, with a large flat screen TV and a dining table and four chairs nearby. The bedroom has a king size bed with a writing desk and second TV in the corner. The bathroom features a stand alone deep tub bath and a separate walk-in shower as well as a very distinctive double glass washbasin. The Penthouse Suite also has a guest bathroom and can inter-connect with a superior room for extra space.

The Azura Restaurant is located at the front of the hotel, in a prime position overlooking the River Thames. It is reached through the Azura Bar, which is off the hotel lobby. The restaurant has a semi circular frontage and its design and décor matches the rest of the hotel, with a slate grey tiled floor and large windows at the front and side of the room. It is south facing and enjoys a good deal of natural light during the day. The menu is British, with a full selection of meat, fish, vegetarian dishes and seasonal vegetables. The restaurant opens out onto a terrace, which is used for dining (bar menu only) and drinks when the weather permits.
