Cranley Summary
The ultra modern Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf, is situated in a stunning location at Blackwall on the River Thames, where the river bends and offers superb views in both directions. The former Millennium Dome, now The O2 is opposite the hotel across the river. It's close to the heart of London’s Docklands, with easy access to the Canary Wharf business district, the ExCel Exhibition Centre and London City airport. Central London is only 15 minutes away by road or public transport. The hotel offers 169 individually designed bedrooms and suites, all with complimentary WiFi access and it has seven fully equipped meeting and conference rooms, as well as a business centre. For dining, there is the Azura Restaurant which specialises in British cuisine, a cocktail bar and an outdoor terrace and urban riverside garden overlooking the River Thames. For relaxation the hotel offers the East River Spa, which together with some of the hotel's meeting rooms, is located in the adjoining Ontario Tower apartment building. All of these facilities are accessible without leaving the hotel.

Parking The hotel has an on-site valet parking service for 30 cars at a charge. There is a mixture of covered and open parking, all of which is secure.
Cranley Comment
The hotel entrance is through double glass sliding doors, into a narrow passageway that leads to another set of sliding doors. Given the hotel's location on the River Thames, this reduces the draught in the winter. The sizeable lobby area is all glass and steel and quite light and airy as a result. The Front Desk is opposite the entrance, but some way across the lobby. On entering the hotel, the bar and restaurant are up a few steps on the right, with the business centre and some meeting rooms on the immediate left. The hotel's three guest lifts which provide access to all floors, are at the side of the Front Desk. There is some seating in the lobby area, with a number of sofas and chairs spread around.
Shops & Amenities
Cranley Comment
The hotel has no amenities or shops on-site, but there is a convenience store within 5 minutes walk, as well as a dry cleaner's and an Italian restaurant. Canary Wharf is a 10 minute walk away and it has two shopping malls; Canada Square and Jubilee Square, both of which have a full range of high street stores. The traditional shops of 'old' East London are also only 10 minutes walk away.

There are six different room types in the hotel, but the only difference between the majority of them is whether they have a king size bed, a queen size bed or twin beds. All of the rooms apart from the suites have the same furnishings and décor, with light coloured walls, a dark grey/brown carpet and a wall sculpture. Superior rooms have red as their main colour for bed trims , whilst the deluxe rooms use shades of green. One bedroom suites have a very different appearance, with wooden floors and designer furniture, whilst the Penthouse suite is unique. All of the room types are located throughout the hotel.

It has 16 One Bedroom Suites that will accommodate families, but it does not have any special provisions for children. Cranley Comment
The hotel has a number of practices designed to help the environment. There are notices in all bedrooms, informing guests that towels they wish to reuse, should be placed on the rack. The notice also tells guests that the hotel has replaced traditional bars of soap with dispensers, to reduce waste. Many parts of the hotel use motion sensors, which will activate lights as required. Paper is recycled.
