The Landmark Hotel is located in the fashionable district of Marylebone right in the heart of London. Originally opened as The Great Central Hotel in 1899, The Landmark Hotel is one of the last of the great Victorian railway hotels and is a unique combination of Victorian grandeur and modern comfort. The hotel’s design reflects the wealth and power of the era, and today’s newly restored masterpiece will transport you back to a time of unimagined opulence and comfort. A feature of the hotel is the soaring glass-roofed atrium, providing a sense of space and light unique amongst London hotels. There are two hundred and ninety nine rooms and suites spread over six floors which reflect classic Victorian elegance, are well furnished and have modern up-to-date amenities. Dining options include the AA 2 Rosette Winter Garden Restaurant and the relaxing informal Cellars Bar. Facilities include a brand new health club and spa with a fifteen metre semi-ozone swimming pool and a fully equipped fitness room. The hotel has a number of conference rooms and an elegant ballroom suitable for all types of events like weddings, conferences, meetings and private functions. Marylebone underground station is directly opposite the hotel and offers easy access to any part of London.

Location Description
The Landmark Hotel is located in Marylebone at the border of Lonon's congestion charging zone. Directly opposite the north entrance of the hotel and connected by a covered walkway is Marylebone underground station which offers fast easy access into London. A short taxi ride, or a few stops on the underground, guests have access to world class shopping, famous landmarks, theatres, restaurants and all the very best London has to offer. Several of London's famous attractions such as Madame Tussauds, the Planetarium, Sherlock Holmes Museum and Regents Park are within a few minutes walk from the hotel. Wembley Stadium is nine minutes away by underground. Heathrow Airport is situated fifteen miles away on the west of London and the fastest connection to the airport is via the Heathrow Express with a journey time of fifteen minutes from it’s terminus at Paddington Station which is merely five minutes from the Landmark Hotel by underground or taxi.

Layout Description
The Landmark Hotel is an impressive Victorian red brick building which was built at the turn of the twentieth century and was originally one of the great Victorian railway hotels. The hotel is a unique combination of Victorian grandeur and modern comfort. It is resplendent with Gothic-style architecture, stained glass windows and wall murals and with many original working fireplaces. The heart of the hotel has an eight storey atrium around which the hotel is wrapped. The basement area houses the Cellars Bar and Restaurant, the Spa and Health Club and basement car parking. The main reception is located on the lower ground floor. The Winter Garden Restaurant, the hotel's private function rooms and ballroom are mostly located on the ground floor level. The mezzanine level houses the Gazebo, the Landmark Boutique and Kara Hair and Beauty Salon. Guestrooms and suites are spread over the six floors with views over the Atrium and the outside.

Medical Facilities The hotel has a nurse in the building during office hours. If a doctor or dentist is required, according to the hotel, the Concierge will be more than happy to call a doctor or dentist who will then make contact with the guest and take appropriate action.
Parking All vehicles are valet parked in the manned car park in the basement of the hotel. For guests staying in the hotel there is an overnight charge of forty pounds. For visiting guests the first two hours parking is ten pounds. Thereafter the charges are six pounds per hour and caps at a forty pounds maximum daily charge.

The Marylebone Road entrance into the hotel is the main entrance and leads into the lower lobby area flanked with stone arches and marbled floors. The reception desk is located to the left and concierge desk to the right with elevators to all floors located just past the concierge desk. A marble stairway leads up to the ground floor and into the eight storey central atrium housing the Winter Garden Restaurant and around which the hotel is wrapped. Also located on this level are the majority of the hotel's private function rooms, ballroom, the Mirror Bar and the IT Centre. On the right of the Winter Garden entrance, stairs lead down to the Spa and Health Club which can also be reached by elevator. Immediately in front of the Winter Garden entrance, a sweeping marble stairway leads up to the mezzanine floor to the Gazebo area, the Landmark Boutique and Kara Hair and Beauty Salon. There is a North entrance to the hotel which is opposite Marylebone Station. This leads into the Ground floor and into a further reception area and lounge which is used for checking in conference and larger parties.

Description
The Landmark Boutique is located on the mezzanine level. The boutique provides a large range of services and stocks a variety of luxurious goods, ranging from clothes, perfume, cigars and leather goods to jewellery and watches. Some of the leading brands available are Jean Richard, Piaget, Roberto Naldi, Parmigiani, Georgio Grati, Brigite Ermel, Dore Dore, Jean Paul Gaultier, Girard-Perregaux, Alfred Dunhill, Zilli and d'Avenza. Services offered by the Landmark Boutique include, full made to measure tailoring for ladies and gents, a large range of clothing in stock, last minute clothing requests, a selection of gifts suited to a variety of budgets, tax free shopping and a delivery service to the customers final destination. The Landmark Boutique is open from 09:30 to 20:30 seven days a week.

Apart from the Boutique, a wide range of gifts and services are offered within the hotel through the concierge and include Landmark souvenirs, luggage tags, teddy bears, bathrobes, flowers, framed items, luxury swimwear, E'SPA beauty products, gift vouchers for anything, including: dinner in any restaurant, overnight stays and Spa gifts and treatments.

Also located on the mezzanine level is Kara Hair and Beauty Salon offering hairdressing, manicures, pedicures and facial treatments. The salon is open from 09:00 to 19:00 Monday to Saturday.

The Landmark Hotel has a limited range of retail outlets. However, the hotel's location and being situated opposite Marylebone mainline and underground station, means excellent accessibility to London's top shopping areas, the finest parks and landmarks in London and London's famous theatres.

The Landmark Hotel has a wide range of superior accommodation with two hundred and ninety nine guestrooms and suites. The rooms are uncommonly spacious starting at 35sqm and are decorated with classic overtones featuring soft tactile fabrics in a subtle colour scheme of golden beiges, soft yellows and blues. All the rooms are well appointed and feature the latest in modern technology. For families the executive twin bedded rooms can accommodate two adults and two children. Guestrooms and suites have views of either the atrium looking down over the Winter Garden or to the outside of the building.

There are fifty five superior rooms with king-size or queen-size beds and a further four rooms with twin beds. The bedrooms are approached along carpeted corridors and enter into an entrance hallway leading into the bedroom area. Some of the rooms have fitted wardrobes in the entrance hallway whilst the rest have them in the bathroom. The bedrooms feature high ceilings, are decorated in pastel hughes of gold and beige, soft yellow and blues and have a feeling of spaciousness and warmth. The rooms are furnished with bow fronted lacquered bedside chests and circular bedside tables, a large lacquered armoire which houses the TV, mini bar and laptop size safe. Each room has a desk with an inset black marble top and a large mirror above, a desk chair and a comfortable easy armchair. Some of the rooms look over the atrium area down into the Winter Garden and others have an outside view. The white marble en-suite bathrooms have a single sink, a large combined bath and shower and a door leading into a separate WC. Superior rooms can interconnect to one another or with the Landmark Studio Suites and Deluxe rooms.

The suite is located on the fifth floor of the hotel and is decorated in a similar colour scheme as all the other rooms. There is a marble hallway as you enter with a small guest bathroom off and leading through to a fully fitted kitchen and a private dining room that seats six. This dining room can also be utilised as a private meeting room. The luxurious sitting room is large and elegantly furnished with a three seater sofa, occasional chairs, a baby grand piano, a cabinet with the television and hi-fi system and a fully stocked bar. The room also features a large fireplace. The main bedroom is extremely large and has a four poster bed. It also features an en-suite bathroom that is decorated in white marble and has a very large walk in shower and a jacuzzi bath. This room leads into a large dressing room area. The Presidential Suite has an optional connecting executive room with a king-size bed.
