It is a 10 minute drive, approximately 8 kilometres, from the town centre of Limassol which offers visitors all the facilities of a major town. The hotel itself is surrounded by tourist amenities with shops, restaurants and bars and just 40 minutes drive away are two major golf courses. Larnaca International Airport is located 63 kilometres from the hotel and Paphos International Airport is 60 kilometres away, both approximately a 45 minute drive. The Mediterranean Beach Hotel offers a wide variety of accommodation with inland, pool or sea views and caters for families and couples of all ages. Layout Description
The Mediterranean Beach Hotel is set in landscaped terraced gardens with a commanding view over the hotel’s freshwater split level swimming pool and the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel is built over six floors with the main lobby atrium area, Reception, Clouds Bar, Ionia meeting room and the hotel’s gift shop located on the 3rd floor. Elevators lead to all other floors and guest rooms. Aquaria, Céleste and Céleste Terrace Restaurant (May-October), The Blue Bar, Ristorante Bacco, Shumi Sushi Restaurant, boutique, jewellery shop, hairdressing salon and an exit leading to the pool, gardens and beach are located on the 2nd floor. The 1st floor houses the Aquum Health Spa with gym, indoor pool, aerobic and pilates rooms as well as the Agean meeting room and then leads out to the Ouzeri Tis Myrtos snack bar, Nautica Bistro, the swimming pool area with the Lagoon Pool Bar and winding paths leading down to the beach.

The lobby area is decorated in pastel colours of blues and earthy tones portraying senses of the sea, sky and earth. The spacious lobby has five lifts serving all floors, white marble and wood decked floors, seating areas with banquette leather sofas, tables and chairs. There are floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views over the landscaped gardens and out to the Mediterranean Sea. The main lobby is located on the 3rd floor with Reception located to the left when coming in from the main entrance. Immediately opposite Reception is Clouds Bar. Also located on this level are the Ionia Hall, Karavi Syndicate Room and the Business Centre. A central stairway leads down to the lower lobby level and out to the grounds.

Luxury Studio guest rooms have a separate sitting room area, parquet flooring throughout and are decorated and furnished in warm earthy tones. The entrance hallway has a closet area and a door leading into the en-suite bathroom. The bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed with a fixed wooden bed head, and bedside tables. Opposite the bed is a marble topped dressing table with a mirror over, and an LCD TV. A wooden room dividing unit which is mirrored on both sides separates the bedroom from the sitting room. The sitting room is furnished with a comfortable sofa, two easy chairs, a coffee table and a cabinet with a TV on top. Large sliding glass doors lead out to a private balcony which is furnished with a table and two chairs. The balcony overlooks the swimming pool area and has views out to the sea. The Areti Suite is located on the 4th floor of the hotel. This light and airy suite is furnished in limed wood and pastel plaid fabrics that complement the blues and silvery green of the eucalyptus trees that can be seen through its two windows. From the windows guests can enjoy a view of the pool and gardens and the sea beyond. The seating area in the lounge includes a sofa that folds out into a second double bed as well as a dining or conference table for up six people. Doors lead out to a furnished balcony. The master bedroom is furnished with two queen-size beds and features a large mirrored wardrobe outside the floral-granite bathroom and leads out onto second furnished balcony.

Aquaria Restaurant is located on the 2nd floor lower lobby level and is the hotel’s main breakfast restaurant. This bright and airy restaurant has floor to ceiling windows along one side which look out over the restaurant’s terrace and the hotel’s landscaped gardens. The terrace is only open during summer months. Aquaria is modern in style and is decorated in pastel tones and extensive use of wood. A feature of the restaurant is the blue sky ceiling lit with constellations – hence the restaurant’s name. There is a raised central area which is furnished with dark wooden tables and chairs set on wooden flooring and surrounded by wooden panelling. An extensive buffet area offers plenty of space for guests to move around each serving station. The restaurant offers a full buffet breakfast with a selection of both cold and cooked local and international dishes, a live cooking station offering freshly cooked eggs, table d’hôte menus, lunch and snacks.

The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor next to Shumi Sushi Bar. This sophisticated restaurant is surrounded on the entrance side by floor to ceiling glass windows and is decorated throughout in white. The restaurant has wooden floors and is furnished with wooden tables with white linen place settings and white comfortable chairs. Bacco offers exceptional authentic Italian cuisine originating from Tuscany. During the winter months when Céleste Terrace is closed, Céleste Restaurant acts as the hotel’s main evening restaurant venue. Classically designed, this elegant restaurant is decorated in soft pastel coffee tones and offers a choice of seating configurations with free standing tables covered with white table linen. The restaurant features a stage and during themed buffet evenings, live entertainment is performed. Céleste Restaurant offers an a la carte and table d’hôte menu. During the summer months, the restaurant opens onto the Céleste Terrace and deck overlooking the hotel’s garden, cascading pool and the sea. Themed buffet evenings which are held throughout the year, include Italian, Cypriot, Lebanese, BBQ's and Mediterranean all with live entertainment. Weddings:
The Mediterranean Beach Hotel is located in Limassol which is amongst the most popular destinations for Mediterranean weddings. The hotel has elevated sea views, fragrant gardens and facilities for wedding receptions. Receptions can be held almost anywhere within the hotel; on the outdoor terraces, the balcony terraces, at any of the hotel's food and beverage outlets or the various dedicated function halls.

Provided the necessary forms are completed and submitted as required a day before the ceremony, civil weddings can be performed anywhere within the hotel for couples holding their wedding reception at the Mediterranean Beach Hotel. There are two unique areas which have been created for the exchanging of wedding vows. The wedding gazebo opposite the pool bar and the pavilion on the lawns are both intimate and accompanied by striking sea views.

There is a children’s shaded swimming pool, a large multi-level swimming pool and a beach. The Aquum Health Spa has an indoor pool and immediately outside are two pool tables and video games. There are two tennis courts, table tennis and a PADI scuba diving centre with instructors on the hotel’s premises. There is a water sports company located on the beach offering a wide range of equipment for hire.

Family rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children and standard guestrooms can accommodate an extra child or baby cot. The restaurants and room service offer a children’s menu as well as high chairs. The children’s shallow swimming pool is shaded with an awning and the outdoor pool offers older children fun filled swimming days. There is a children’s playground with swings and climbing apparatus with slides and tunnels. Outside the spa area are activities for older children including pool tables and video games. The Mediterranean Beach Hotel’s Blue Flag public sandy beach (there are no private beaches in Cyprus) is located east of Limassol along the 16 kilometre stretch of the Limassol shore which is the largest seaside resort on the island and is situated against the backdrop of the Troodos mountains. The course dark sandy beach has loungers and parasols for hire. There is an independent water sports hire company along the beach area with motorized water sports equipment available for hire during the months of April to November and other periods weather permitting. There is a walking pathway leading along the shore above the beach area. The beach is a 'Blue Flag Beach' which means a safe swimming beach.

The expansive freshwater split level pool is situated in the heart of the hotel's landscaped terraced gardens. The pool temperature varies during the summer months according to the weather. From the pool a winding stone flagged path leads to the dark sandy beach area which is just a minute's walk away. The pool has a stone cave arcaded area on one side and a wooden bridge leading over a section of the pool to another level of the pool. The bridge leads to a stone raised area which is planted with palm trees. The pool surrounds have sun loungers, tables, parasols and a number of outside showering facilities. The Lagoon Pool Bar has a swim up area with seating and is located at the edge of the pool serving cold drinks, ice creams and snacks during the pool opening hours. There is a PADI diving centre located in the premises of the hotel in close proximity to the beach and main outdoor swimming pool. The diving centre is operated by an external company. The centre is open daily in the summer season from 09:00 to 17:00 and offers diving trips including island wide diving safaris all over the island, night dives, wreck dives and local snorkelling trips. Scuba diving courses are available with a free trial pool dive available on Monday and Thursday during the season at 15:00. A large variety of water sports are available on the beach in front of the hotel at a charge. The water sports facility is provided by an external contractor and is closed between the months of November and March.

  Vikla Golf and Country Club
Description
Vikla Golf and Country Club is about 20 kilometres from the main Limassol tourist/residential area. Vikla Golf Club is a husband and wife run, small proprietary club and is an eighteen hole golf course with a par of sixty-eight, achieved by utilising twelve fairways, fourteen greens and seventeen men's and ladies' tees in the same way as nine hole golf courses offer eighteen holes by using double tees. The club has spectacular mountain views and a friendly and informal atmosphere. For the non-golfers there is a swimming pool and an outside terrace overlooking the course. If playing golf in Cyprus at this club, the two par fives and six par threes offer a realistic challenge and no handicap certificates are required.

The Aquum Health Spa offers an exclusive range of treatments designed to de-stress, relax and revitalise the mind, body and soul. The spa has four dry treatment rooms - including one for couples, hydro-bath room, a multi-sensor cocoon room, a pressure three-column shower, hammam, a relaxation room to rest between treatments, separate men’s and women’s changing facilities with private lockers and showers. For guests having treatments in the spa, there is a separate mixed sauna, steam room and relaxation area for use after treatments.

Rooms & Bathrooms The Mediterranean Beach Hotel has 12 partially adapted guest rooms suitable for assisted special needs guests only. The rooms offer enough space for wheelchair manoeuvrability and have wheelchair accessible entrance doors and grip rails by the toilet and bath.
Restaurants & Catering All restaurants and bars including outdoor catering facilities are all wheelchair accessible. Aquaria Restaurant, Shumi Sushi Bar, Ristorante Bacco and Céleste restaurants are located on the 2nd floor (below lobby level) and are accessible for mobility impaired guests via the lifts. The Blue Bar is also located on the 2nd floor and again, accessible by lift. Doors on the 1st floor of the hotel lead out to the hotel's landscaped gardens. The Lagoon Pool Bar is accessible for wheelchair bound guests via a pathway leading to the pergola covered sitting area. Ouzeri Tis Myrtos overlooks the pool area and is accessible for mobility impaired guests via a pathway. Nautica Bistro is located close to the beach and has steps leading down from the hotel gardens.
Communal Areas Entry to The Mediterranean Beach Hotel is at street level with a few steps leading up to an automatic door. There is ramp access on the side of the steps for mobility impaired guests. All facilities on the lobby level are on one level and accessible for wheelchair users. There are five lifts serving all guest room floors, the restaurants, conference facilities and the Aquum Spa all of which are accessible for mobility impaired guests in a wheelchair.
Recreation Facilities The landscaped gardens of the hotel have wheelchair accessible pathways throughout making all outdoor facilities accessible for wheelchair bound guests. The outdoor swimming pool is accessible by pathways in certain areas. The entrance from the gardens to the beach area has steps leading down.
Staff Assistance Hotel staff will give assistance when necessary to help mobility impaired guests. Guests staying at the hotel with physical difficulties should advise Reception on check-in so that special attention can be given in the event of fire or emergencies

The Mediterranean Beach Hotel recycles paper, plastic, glass, cooking oil and printer cartridges.

Energy saving lights are used to activate lighting and air conditioning in guestrooms, the guest room key card has to be inserted into a key pad area just inside the entrance door. On leaving the room and once the key card is removed, lighting and air conditioning automatically switch off.
The hotel supports children's charities and cancer research.

Guests are given the opportunity to re-use towels in order to save water.
