The luxury Anassa Hotel is located just outside Polis on the north-westerly tip of Cyprus. Sitting in seclusion on the cliff side of the Akamas Nature Reserve, the beautiful landscaped gardens have sweeping views over the Mediterranean, the Akamas Peninsula and the goddess of Aphrodite's fabled baths and lead down to one the best sand beaches in Cyprus. The hotel is modelled on a Byzantine village - white villas with terracotta roofs, classical architecture with Roman mosaics, marble floors and Venetian frescoes. All rooms are spacious, luxuriously furnished and have a balcony or terrace, mostly with panoramic views over the sea. Some of the suites have their own private pool or jacuzzi. Anassa has four restaurants, a Thalassotherapy spa specializing in the very latest health and beauty treatments, an outdoor infinity pool, children's pool and a heated indoor pool. There are squash and tennis courts, a gym and many water sports facilities. Meeting and conference facilities are available in the hotel's ballroom and two meeting rooms. The hotel's private chapel in the village square is a perfect venue for marriages. Full catering facilities are available for receptions of any kind.

Driving towards the island’s north-westerly tip through gentle rolling hills and ancient vineyards, the Anassa Hotel sits in seclusion on the cliff side with sweeping views over its secluded beach, the Mediterranean Sea and out over the beautiful Akamas Peninsula. There are two eighteen hole championship golf courses nearby and many watersports on offer. A five minute drive from the hotel is the unspoilt town of Polis with its shops and restaurants and a ten minute drive is Latchi fishing village with its many fish restaurants. The Anassa Hotel is a forty-five minute drive by car from Paphos with its many shops and International Airport. Larnaca International Airport is a two hour drive away.

Layout Description
The Anassa Hotel is spread over a large area and modelled on a Byzantine village - white villas with terracotta roofs set in landscaped gardens sitting on the cliff side with a view over the ocean to the Akamas Peninsula and the goddess Aphrodite's fabled baths. The guest rooms are spread over the large complex with either a sea or garden view. The hotel has four restaurants and three swimming pools. The spa offers an extensive range of treatments and has a gym/exercise room, sauna, steam facilities and a heated indoor pool.

The stylish elegant lobby area is designed with classical architecture, has marble and mosaic floors and stone coloured arched passageways leading to the main building guest rooms, restaurants and elevators. The passageways are decorated with antiques and have a number of seating areas with comfortable sofas and tables. The reception desk is located on the left of the main entrance and has a lounge seating area looking out onto the gardens.

Marenostrum the hotel's small boutique/gift shop and jewellery shop is located on the lobby level. The boutique sells a number of items including ladies' and men's fashion wear, small gifts, toiletries, newspapers, cigarettes and camera films. Marenostrum jewellery shop is opposite the boutique.

The boutique shop is small and packed with clothing items and gifts. There is a newspaper stand outside the shop. The small jewellery shop is decorated with glass cabinets and windows displaying a selection of jewellery. A short drive away are the villages of Polis and Latchi with supermarkets and a selection of shops. Paphos which is a 50 kilometre drive away offers a wider choice of shopping.

The Anassa Hotel's guest rooms range from comfortable studio suites to lavish luxurious presidential suites. There is a private villa called the Alexandros Residence located in the eastern part of the resort. All rooms are decorated in pastel shades, have colour co-ordinated soft furnishings, marble floors and are extremely spacious. The balconies and terraces have views of either the gardens or sea. Some of the suites offer a private plunge pool or outdoor whirlpool on their own private terrace. All bathrooms are spacious and have a separate shower and bath. Cots or an extra bed for children under twelve are available in all rooms.

Garden View Rooms are the smallest of all the rooms and are located in the main building of the hotel. These well appointed rooms have a modern Mediterranean style decor and their cool pastel shades and marble floors or carpets means that all the rooms are bright and airy. The rooms have either a king-size or twin beds, table and chairs and a mirrored bar area. The balconies or terraces are furnished with a table and chairs and all have views of the hotel's secluded gardens and the hills of Neo Chorio village. The ensuite bathroom has a separate shower and bath. The rooms can accommodate a maximum of two adults and a baby cot.

Studio Suites are located in the main building of the hotel and are decorated in a modern Mediterranean style with light pastel shades, marble floors, louvered shutters and have either a king-size or two three-quarter beds, sofa, comfortable chairs, table and television cabinet. On entering the room there is good cupboard space on the right side of the entrance hallway and the ensuite bathroom which is located on the left of the hallway has a separate shower and bath. Some Studio Suites are interconnecting and all have a sea view from either a furnished balcony or terrace with chairs and table.

Located in the main building, the rooms are spacious, well appointed and decorated in cool pastel shades with marble floors. They have Mediterranean-style furniture with a rattan sofa, two easy chairs, a marble dining room table with four chairs for private entertaining and a king-size bed. The television is enclosed in a large cabinet and the windows have louvered shutters. The spacious marbled bathroom has a separate shower and bath. The suites are decorated in cool pastel shades and furnished with white sofas, chairs, dining room table, television and a number of antiques. These opulent rooms enjoy vistas of the sea and Akamas Peninsula. The bedroom has a king-size bed with drapes, a sitting area with table and chairs and a pop-up television at the end of the bed. Anassa Hotel's Anax Presidential Suite is situated on the third floor of the main building and offers the ultimate in comfort and elegance. The two bedroom suite has a spacious rotunda sitting room with a painted domed ceiling and arched windows looking out over the bay. Furnishings are crafted in wrought iron, cast stone and carved wood and are complemented by elegant antiques and rich fabrics in cream, sand and oatmeal colours. Both bedrooms have opulent marble bathrooms with a separate shower and bath. There is also a guest bathroom located off the lounge area. The suite can be hired out for day functions such as a private lunch.

The Alexandros Residence is a villa-type suite built on two storeys and located in the gardens to the east of the hotel. The luxuriously furnished residence has an entrance foyer, separate dining/living room area, study/library and a kitchenette. The large terrace on the ground floor has a private swimming pool and has views over Chrysochou Bay. The two bedrooms are located on the upper floor, one with two queen-size beds and the other with a king-size bed and have their own balconies and ensuite bathrooms. An internal staircase connects the two floors. There is a guest cloakroom with toilet and washbasin.

Anassa Hotel's four restaurants offer a variety of local and international cuisines and are located on the lower garden level except Pelagos which is situated by the main pool. Amphora, Anassa Hotel's casual dining room serves buffet breakfast and a different theme buffet each evening. Helios is a Mediterranean gastronomic restaurant and is the main dining room. Basiliko serves a fusion of Asian, French and Mediterranean and Pelagos, Anassa Hotel’s pool-side dining facility, offers al fresco casual dining for lunch and dinner. All the restaurants offer vegetarian options. During the winter months, Basiliko is not always open (this depends on occupancy rates of the hotel) and Pelagos is closed from December to February.
