The InterContinental is uniquely located on a plateau overlooking Cyprus’ legendary, "Petra tou Romiou", (Aphrodite’s Rock) on the south coast of Cyprus in the award-winning Aphrodite Hills development. Paphos International Airport is just a ten minute drive, Limassol a thirty minute drive and Larnaca International Airport approximately an hours drive from the hotel. The hotel is designed along the lines of a Mediterranean village and is set in the heart of the Aphrodite Hills Resort which offers its many facilities including the golf course and the Retreat Spa to InterContinental hotel guests. The hotel’s two hundred and ninety guest rooms and suites are located in the main building whilst the village-style villas are spacious, elegantly decorated and furnished with colour schemes accentuating the morning and evening sun. Rooms have private terraces with views over the pool, garden, golf course or the sea. Suites have the option of connecting rooms and some have outdoor jacuzzis or private plunge pools. There are three restaurants located in the main building offering a variety of fine dining, Euro-Asian, Mediterranean and International cuisines plus an informal, poolside brasserie. There are two cocktail bars located on the lobby level with spectacular views over the ocean. The hotel offers impressive conference and banqueting facilities, an indoor/outdoor pool, an outdoor cascading pool, a small spa, gym and tennis courts.

Location Description

The InterContinental Aphrodite Hills is located on the south coast of Cyprus. The hotel is situated across two inclined mountain plateaus overlooking a breathtaking landscape with views to the Mediterranean and Aphrodite's mythical shores on one side and the Troodos Mountains on the other. The hotel is set in the heart of the Aphrodite Hills Resort complex with its golf course, spa, tennis academy, village square with shops and restaurants are all within a five to ten minute walk from the hotel. Paphos International Airport is a fifteen minute drive away and Larnaca International Airport approximately an hours drive from the hotel.

Layout Description

The InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort Hotel stands in the midst of the Aphrodite Hills Resort golf course with views out to the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel's two hundred and ninety guest rooms and suites are spread out over the main hotel and village-style complex all surrounding a large cascading pool and landscaped gardens. Three restaurants are located in the main building of the hotel below lobby level and all have terraces for al fresco dining. The hotel has two bars, one located near the main lobby with a terrace and the other situated outside on the main terrace overlooking the pool. A further brasserie restaurant is located next to the cascading pool. The gym, small spa and indoor/outdoor pool are located on the lowest level (0) of the main building.

On entering the opulent marbled lobby area, the reception desk is on the right and the Concierge desk to the left. This area leads off to the guestrooms in the main building which are approached along carpeted corridors with windows looking out to the gardens and courtyards of the hotel. Carob Lounge is located just off the reception area and leads out to a terrace with the Sunset Bar almost opposite with its 365 degree view over the entire complex. The hotel shop is located on the lobby level selling newspapers and sundry items. The elevators serving all floors are located near the Carob Lounge.

There is a small gift shop in the hotel located on the lobby level near reception selling newspapers, sundry items and locally made gifts such as jewellery, pottery and other small items.

The small hotel gift shop is located near reception in the lobby area. A selection of sundry items, newspapers, sweets, small gifts and cigarettes are sold. Within a few minutes walk through the grounds, boutiques, gift shops and a mini supermarket are all found in the resort's Village Square.

The hotel's two hundred and ninety guest rooms are spread out over the main building and villa-style village and offer Standard and Superior rooms, Club Deluxe Suites and a Presidential Suite, all with a balcony or terrace, modern amenities and views of either the gardens, pool, golf course or Mediterranean Sea. The interiors are a subtle fusion of contemporary design and traditional Cypriot decor with deep, rich fabrics combined with solid wood cabinets giving warmth and elegance to each room. All guestrooms have spacious bathrooms with a separate shower unit and bath. There are interconnecting rooms available.

Rooms are designed in a contemporary style and decorated in pastel shades with soft furnishings in colourful rich fabrics accentuating the morning and evening sun. The marble floor entrance hall leads into a carpeted bedroom with king-size or twin beds, built-in window sofa, coffee table, desk and chair. Rooms can accommodate two adults and one child under twelve or a baby cot and a have a balcony or terrace with a view of either the garden and pool or the golf course and sea. The exceptionally spacious bathrooms have a separate shower and bath.

Superior rooms are located both in the main building and villas throughout the grounds. They are slightly larger than the Standard rooms with an extended area and can accommodate two adults and either a third adult or two children under twelve. Contemporary in design and decorated in pastel shades with colourful soft furnishings, the rooms have a king-size or twin beds, sofa and table, easy chair, desk and chair and a central swivelling television unit. The larger balcony has a table and two chairs, a rocking chair and views of either the garden and pool or golf course and sea. The bathrooms are spacious and the separate shower unit has a large powerful overhead shower rose (rain shower).

These well appointed suites feature a marble entrance hall stepping down into a lounge with a sofa bed, chairs and table, tall carved television cabinet and a desk and chair. Double doors lead into the large king-size bedroom with a walk-in closet, desk and chair and flat-screen television. The suites are decorated in pastel shades marked by a delicate blend of elegance and local tradition. Club Deluxe Suites open onto a terrace or balcony some with a private plunge pool or whirlpool, loungers and parasols. The spacious marble bathrooms have a rain shower.

The Presidential Suite is located in a villa in the landscaped grounds and is designed and decorated to offer the ultimate in comfort and luxury. The suite has a spacious living room, separate dining room/boardroom with a small kitchenette that separates the two bedrooms, both of which have luxurious ensuite bathrooms. Decorated in cool pastel shades and colourful co-ordinating soft furnishings, each room opens onto the vast terrace which extends across the entire length of the suite. The terrace has a large 23 sq metre pool surrounded by sun loungers and garden furniture and has breathtaking views over the sea.

Eleonas is the hotel's all-day restaurant offering an a la carte menu, breakfast and lunch buffet plus themed evening buffets such as Cyprus Night, Asian Night, Italian and around the World, all offering authentic dishes. Eleonas also offers an extensive Sunday brunch. The restaurant with its casual but elegant atmosphere is located in the main building at the pool level and looks out across the terrace through stone arches to the pool and grounds beyond.

Located in the main building below the lobby area, the restaurant is of a contemporary design and is a perfect setting for an evening of sophisticated cuisine. Alternatively, al fresco diners can take in sunsets on the adjoining terrace.
