The Elysium is located on the south west coast of Cyprus close to the historical ancient city of Paphos and immediately adjacent to the archaeological sites of the Tombs of the Kings. The hotel is set in landscaped gardens with sweeping views over the Mediterranean Sea and with direct access below the gardens to a secluded bay with a sandy beach. Paphos is located within a five minute drive of the Elysium Hotel and offer visitors the Harbour, archaeological sights of the old town which include the House of Dionysos with its magnificent Roman mosaics, and all the facilities of a main town. There are three major golf courses located within a 20 minute drive of the hotel. The Elysium offers a wide variety of accommodation ranging from Deluxe Bedrooms, Cyprian Maisonettes, Family Suites, Royal Studios, Royal Garden Villas and three Suites. All the rooms have either a balcony or terrace with some of the accommodation having a private plunge pool. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and are decorated and furnished in warm earthy tones, have an ensuite bathroom, a balcony or terrace and dial up Internet connection for laptops. The hotel’s facilities include a variety of restaurants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a health club and spa, business facilities and a sandy beach.

Location Description
The Elysium is located on the south west coast of Cyprus close to the historical ancient city of Paphos and immediately adjacent to the archaeological sites of the Tombs of the Kings. The hotel is set in landscaped gardens with sweeping views over the Mediterranean Sea and with direct access below the gardens to a secluded bay with a sandy beach. Within a ten minute walk from the hotel are restaurants, shops, banks and pharmacies. There is a bus stop on the main road near the shops which goes to Paphos Harbour and Town with an approximate journey time of five minutes. Paphos offers visitors all the facilities of a main town and archaeological sights of the old town including the House of Dionysos with its magnificent Roman mosaics. Within a 20 minute drive from the hotel are three major golf courses. Larnaca International airport is located 145 kilometres away and Paphos International Airport 20 kilometres away.

Layout Description
The Elysium is built over four floors with materials and furnishings that are a blend of local stone, marble and timber, warm muted colours and decorative features such as mosaics, arches and columns. The hotel is set in extensive landscape gardens with water features, pools, an amphitheatre, a beach and panoramic views over the Mediterranean Sea and the adjacent Tombs of the Kings which is accessible via the hotel's gardens. Guests cross a sturdy drawbridge through a medieval arch into the colonnaded reception and lobby area housing the reception desk, lobby lounge, sunset terrace, meeting rooms, Bar Astria, Occidental Cafe, library and elevators serving all guestroom floors. The lower lobby level can be reached via the central staircase or elevator and houses restaurants, shops, the Opium Health Club and Spa and entrance out to the gardens and outdoor facilities and further guest accommodation in the Megaron building.

Medical Facilities There is a doctor on call 24 hours a day with an approximate response time of fifteen minutes according to the hotel. There are pharmacies within walking distance from the hotel on the main road (the Tombs of the Kings Avenue), which is about ten minute walk away.

The main entrance of the hotel leads into the expansive lobby area. Immediately opposite the entrance is a central staircase leading down to the lower lobby level with the hotel's shops, restaurants, Opium Health Spa and an entrance out to the grounds, swimming pool and beach areas. The reception desk is located on the left when entering the lobby with a seating area immediately opposite and elevators serving all floors. Turning right from the entrance and just past the central staircase leads to Bar Astria, Cafe Occidental, the lobby terrace, the library, multimedia room and meeting room facilities.
Shops & Amenities
Description
The Elysium has a number of on-site shops which are located on the lower lobby level. The hotel's in-house gift shop sells local and international newspapers, cigarettes, gifts and sundry items. Selections by Indigo offers high street clothing fashions, shoes, bags, beachwear and a number of gift items, and NPG Jewellery sells fine jewellery pieces. The Opium Health Spa has a Spa Rituals shop selling hair, body and beauty products. Also located on the lower lobby level is the Opium Spa Hairdressing Salon offering cutting, styling and colouring for both men and women. The shops are open daily during the mornings and afternoons with opening times varying according to each shop.

The Elysium has a number of in-house shops located on the lower lobby level selling a range of clothing, jewellery, hair, body and beauty products as well as a hairdressing salon offering a full range of services for both men and women. Within a ten minute walk from the hotel there is a mini-supermarket, a wine shop, pharmacy, restaurants and bars. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel which goes to Paphos Town and Harbour which offers all the facilities of a major town and has a journey time of about fifteen minutes.

There are 189 Deluxe Rooms available (including two special needs rooms) that have king-size or twin beds available. The spacious rooms are tastefully designed using materials and soft furnishings in warm earthy tones of stone, ochre and terracotta. Both the fabrics and furniture are based on Cypriot tradition. The rooms have a small entrance hallway with closet space and a bathroom off to one side. Each room has a long desk with a mirror over it and a television on top, two comfortable chairs and a table. The rooms are bright and airy and have floor-to-ceiling sliding doors leading out to either a balcony or terrace which is furnished with a table and chairs. The marble bathrooms have an inset sink unit with mirror above, a bath with shower over it and toilet.

The Cyprian Maisonettes incorporate a double height sitting room overlooked by a mezzanine sleeping gallery. The rooms are designed to a high standard in a traditional Cyprian style and have rustic terracotta tiles and ceilings of timber and bamboo. There is a full bathroom off the entrance hallway with a shower over the bath. The entrance hallway has a closet area and leads into the lounge. The lounge is furnished with a sofa and easy chair, coffee table, a large desk and chair with the television sitting on top of a painted Cypriot trunk. Wooden stairs lead up to the mezzanine bedroom with a king-size bed, a further bathroom which has a walk-in shower, vanity unit and WC. Next to the bathroom is a walk-in closet. From the lounge area arched patio doors lead out to a terrace. Cyprian Maisonettes with an inland view have a private enclosed patio with sunbeds. The other Cyprian Maisonettes look out over the Royal Gardens in the Megaron.

The Megaron is a stately structure with an arched ground floor area and colonnades on the first floor. The open plan rooms offer luxury and space and more privacy and are located on both the first and ground floor. Each Royal Studio guestroom has a hallway with a closet and a bathroom and off to the side and leads into the spacious open plan living and bedroom area. The rooms are tastefully designed using materials and soft furnishings in warm earthy tones of stone, ochre and terracotta. Both the fabrics and furniture are based on Cypriot tradition. The rooms are furnished with a king-size bed, sofa, coffee table, desk and a television on a wooden drawer unit. The ground floor units have a private garden with a plunge pool, a large sun bed, parasol and table and chairs. The first floor units have a furnished balcony with a view to the sea and overlook the Tombs of the Kings. The ensuite bathrooms are spacious and have a separate walk-in shower and a bath. The 12 Royal Garden Villas are located in a separate building called the Megaron (meaning "palace"). The Megaron is a stately structure with an arched ground floor area and colonnades on the first floor. The Royal Garden Villas have private gardens and pools and are designed around a traditional village square lined with lemon trees. The centre of the square has a sunken swimming pool surrounded by a stone colonnade. The villas' interior space recreates the traditional Cypriot village house with mezzanine sleeping areas and living space of double height. The rooms are tastefully designed using materials and soft furnishings in warm earthy tones of stone, ochre and terracotta. Both the fabrics and furniture are based on Cypriot tradition. The villas all have king-size beds, two bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and offer privacy and tranquillity. The Royal Garden Villas are for adults only apart from the three Garden View Villas where children are allowed.

Leading into the lounge there is a wooden bar area with two high stools. The lounge is decorated with rich coloured wooden furniture, a sofa, chairs and a cabinet with a television on top. There are floor-to-ceiling sliding balcony doors that lead out to a furnished balcony that runs the entire length of the lounge and bedroom. The bedroom has an extra large king-size bed, a large dressing table, two chairs, a coffee table and a television on a dresser. The furnished balcony has uninterrupted views out over the Mediterranean Sea.

The Lemonia Piazza, Epicurean Restaurant and Cava Fine Dining Restaurant offer a choice of international, Mediterranean and local cuisines and are all located on the lower lobby level of the hotel. Mediterraneo Restaurant which is a seasonal restaurant is located near the beach overlooking the Mediterranean and serves a selection of local and Mediterranean dishes, charcoal grilled items, fresh fish, meze and pasta. Café Occidental is located in the main lobby area and serves hot and cold beverages, pastries, cakes and traditional afternoon tea. Reservations are recommended in the fine dining restaurants.
